Description: Richard looks like your average fifteen year old boy. Around 6ft tall, he isn’t that physically built. He doesn’t have any definite muscles, and overall isn’t muscular. His skin is a light tan color, his eyes are a light blue, and his cut-short hair is light brown. Clothing wise, he keeps it simple. He wears a pair of blue jeans with simple brown belt, a simple long-sleeve shirt (usually dark blue or green), and pair of old white sneakers. The only accessories he has are a watch and a pair of thin-wired glasses.
Personality: Richard is a pretty reclusive person, but he isn’t shy. It stems more from an oblivious idea of what is happening around him when he is reading, which he does a lot. It may seem rude, but he doesn’t mean it. It takes some work to get him interested in talking to you, but you’ll be glad you did. Richard loves comedy, and can easily pull up jokes and stories he has heard or seen of. He is also smart (hence the reading), but his habit of constantly bringing up some point may make him seem like a know it all. However, this tends to get balanced out by his absentmindedness at times.
In general, Richard is an optimist. However, he usually approaches a problem with a realistic view, and a little Machiavellian style.
History: Richard was born in a large town located in southeast part of the United States. He lived in that large town for many years. At school he was the adoration of his teachers, and usually the butt of the jokes of his peers. While it did bother him about it, he eventually learned to ignore it. To do this, he turned to reading, anime, and comedy. This helped him survive, but to this day he has issues trying to talk to people. By the time he reached middle school, all the kids had gotten over their teasing and started treating him better. He was even making friends, which that love of anime and comedy helped with.
However, when he was halfway through middle school, his family moved to the city where the DATS headquarters was located. Luckily, he was accepted (or tolerate) by the kids there, and so he had a pleasant life. In high school, he continued being the student teachers dreamed of, and much to his surprise, people were treating him with a bit of respect. Friends were easier to make, though he only had one or two that he really got close to. Life was good, though, and he wasn’t going to complain.
Things drastically changed, however, one day while he was at the park. He was hanging around the playground, bored out of his mind, when he heard what sounded like sniffling coming from one of the tubes people could crawl around in. Looking inside he was surprised to find not a kid, but a small creature that reminded him of a guinea pig, except with big ears. As he reached to pull it out it seemed he startled it as it, amazingly enough, flew off. The creature flew off pretty slow, however, and so it wasn’t long before Richard caught up. Just as he did so, however, two people with what looked like small knights had arrived and were attacking the creature. Richard intervened by attempting to grab it and run, but the two knights quickly knocked him out of the way. He tried to plead with them to leave the poor thing alone, and as he did so he found his fist glowing with what looked like binary code. Soon afterwards he was inducted into DATS with the creature, Patamon, as his new partner.

Digimon History: Patamon spent most of his life living within the Primary Village, fearful of wandering out to far and being attacked. Primary Village was, secure, and fun; a perfect paradise for him. One day, however, he was out a little bit beyond the village picking berries when he suddenly found himself warped out of the Digital World an in the Human World. He was in a small park of some sorts, and he quickly found refuge inside a small tube. He hid their until he was saved by Richard, and is now almost inseparable from him.
Digimon Personality: Patamon is a very unsecure Digimon and easily frightened. He believes himself to be weak and useless in a fight, and is scared whenever he has to. Patamon is also very shy towards everyone except Richard. Patamon, however, admits these weaknesses and tries very hard to get over him, and has made some progress with Richard around.
