Avani quickly followed him. When she caught up to him she smiled.
"What do you think we will find?"she asked him, then she looked about.
To her the area seemed peaceful, and that made her happy. Plus it took her mind off of the whole war and saving the world thing.

As Garun and Avani enjoyed their quiet, little walk they were being followed. Darting quickly and quietly behind them was a small, little squirrel. It paused for a moment when it finally caught up to them before running away once again.
Meanwhile, a little ways off, was a bounty hunter from the Fire Nation. This was no ordinary bounty hunter however; this was Derano Ru-Kasu. He was relatively well known within the bounty hunter circles, but not for his captures. Instead, he was known for his, well, interesting personality. At that moment, though, he was quietly sipping some tea while the squirrel approached him.
"Ah, there you are little buddy. I was wondering when you'd come back. So, where did you run off to little guy?"
The squirrel started to chatter randomly, but Deran's reactions seemed as if he understood every word of it. Finally the chattering stopped.
"So then, the Avatar and a friend of hers are a little ways off from here. Well, I guess we'll just have to pay them a little visit. Oh, this will be so wonderful." As he finished his bright,optimistic tone started to shift to a dark, cold one that highly emphasized the word 'wonderful'.
Within minutes the man was off, and he was after one thing; the Avatar.
((Finally got a chance to get him in. Oh, and have fun fighting the crazy guy XD)).

"I have no idea though its could to have some quiet time as me and you havent had a bit of time alone since we met up at the air temple." Garun said to her. "We can finally have a relaxing conversation with no one butting in" He added with a smile

Eventually Derano located his two targets. Both of them were unaware of his presence by the way it looked; they were still chit-chatting with each other. Looking upon them he didn' t think such a harmless looking girl could be the Avatar, but looks could be deceiving.
That was probably the last thought to go through Ozai's mind before getting absolutely crushed by Aang. Such a fool he was. Azula was much more competent than him.
Eventually Derano's movement stopped as he pondered upon what to do next. With one shot of lightning he could probably eliminate her, but where was the fun in that? Besides, capturing her alive was a more beneficial thing. If she was killed another Avatar would be reborn; if she was alive they could hold her captive till it was too late.
Taking a deep breath, he got into stance, and after a quick moment to aim, shot a blast of fire in the direction of the Avatar and her friend, aiming specifically for the arms. Both of them were from the Water Tribe by the way their clothes looked, and waterbenders were highly vulnerable if their arms were damaged.

For awhile now, Avani had that feeling they where being watched. She turned to Garun and quickly popped the lid off his water bottle, turned and pushed her hands forward then up. It brought up a short ice wall that didnt last long against the heat of the fire. She grabbed Garuns sleeve and pulled him down so he wouldnt get hit. When the ice melted, she was sure the fire had died down.
"What the heck Zhang?!"she said loudly as she got back up from her crouched position. When her blue eyes saw that it wasnt their fire bending friend she grew much more tense. "What do you want?"
Zhang sat comfortably on the saddle. He glanced over his shoulder and noticed the two "love birds" as he called them had taken off.
"Hmm... Hey Ishimaru did you see where the avatar went?"

Garun stood back up. "Thanks" He muttered to avani before getting water from his bottle and forming a ball of water in front of him. "back off and leave if you know whats best for you" He shouted to the guy. He then turned to Avani and whispered to her "Avani get going. Run as fast as possible. This guy is obviously after you so run now. I will try and keep him for as long as possible" He then raised his hand in a quick succession of movements before raising the ball of water which had now formed a spike. He then breathed on it so it formed a ice spike. Then using some mor hand movements he threw the thing over the trees in the direction of Zhang and Ishimaru. "Avani run now" He told her before getting his arms in a better position for his combat bending

Avani took running into consideration, for a moment she turned and was about ready to run but then she stopped. She would be running from her problems, and making somebody else get mixed up in them.
"No, I cant just let you have all of the fun. Besides this guy is probably a master, I dont want you to get hurt."

Seeing as his attack was blocked by the water of the Avatar (at least his thought of her being a waterbender was right) Derano shifted himself into a more defensive positon. He watched carefully as the two interacted with each other. The boy wanted to be a hero since he was willing to fight by himself, and the girl seemed to be the stubborn sorts. Very easy personalities to toy around with.
"You want to know what I want? Why, it should be obvious. You are the Avatar and I'm a bounty hunter. I believe you have the logic to figure out what that means."
Seeing the ice spike being sent in the direction of what must have been some friends, Derano decided to leave it. If he tried to shoot it down it would definantly be a sign of danger. If he left it then their friends would probably just think it was missed shot during training. However, he was still going to be doing some firebending. With a quick kick of his feet he sent several shots of fire at the boy, aiming for the arms and hands respectively. However, he also sent one shot at the legs to force him to have to defend three spots at once.

"No Zhang, I haven't seen them. I assumed she went with Garun for a walk, though it has been awhile. You don't think they have gotten into trouble have they?" Ishimaru replied to the fire bender.
