Character's Name: Nicholas Selwyn
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Status: DATS Agent (at the moment)
Description: Extremely tall and pale, long fingers and thin hands. He also seems to have a permanant sneer. His hair is black and short, almost militarily. His eyes are ice blue and he has an unexplained scar on his forehead. He generally wears dark blue or black, although he will wear a crimson scarf. He always wears a charm necklace with a jade gecko on it. It's one of his prized possessions and considers it good luck.
Personality: Complete maniac. He's a clever manipulator. He's obsessed with evil and aspires to control the world. He hasn't been able to motivate himself to commit any actual crime. After taking a psychological test, it was revealed that his inability to actually commit crimes was not due to cowardice, but instead due to a deep seated conscience and desire to do good. However, he's known for being rude and committing minor misdemeanors. He has a soft spot for people with green eyes, although it's not entirely certain why. He's extremely good with computers and machinery.
History: Nick was born in La Jolla, California. His family was fairly well off, since his father was in charge of the extremely successful Selwyn Inc., which prints books.
Nick spent most of his childhood being tortured by his older brother. Unfortunately, his brother ended up with the wrong crowd and was arrested.
Nick's behavior was heavily influenced by his brother's tormenting and he delved into the dark behaviors his brother engaged in. His parents managed to keep him away from drugs and gangs, but Nick was becoming increasingly unmanageable.
When he turned fourteen, he was shipped off to a military academy. He gained a reputation as one of the most uncontrollable students. When he turned sixteen, he was finally suspended for destroying the science building. Two weeks later, he would receive his digivice and his life would change, for better or for worse.
He was screwing around on his computer during his free time when it malfunctioned and released the virus into the real world. It turned out to be a Tsumemon. For some reason, possibly due to his being its programmer, the Tsumemon was loyal to him and obeyed his commands. Nick used it to steal things from various places until he was confronted by a DATS patrol and given the choice all people who mess around with digimon. Join DATS or have his memory overwritten and his digimon destroyed. After a fight in which his Tsumemon digivolved into Keramon before being defeated, he agreed to join DATS.

Digimon History: Kira was created during one of Nick's many hacking sessions. A deviant section virus broke off and began consuming code from Nick's network, devastating all computers on the network except for his. This was originally taken as another of Nick's "pranks" and Nick believed it himself. That is, until another virus he was writing was consumed by the growing digimon and catapulted it out of his computer and into the real world. After a short fight and a much longer period of communication, Nick got to know the emerged Tsumemon and teamed up with it to wreak havoc.
Digimon Personality: Kira is not so much evil as loyal and mischievous. He enjoys a bit of chaos now and again, but is willing to do whatever Nick asks him to do. He would go to the end of the world and back, if that were what Nick wanted him to do. Being effectively emotionally unformed, Nick's actions are what are shaping his behavior and personality.
