For many generations peace reigned in the Digital World as well as between the humans and Digimon and was guarded by the organization known as DATS. Ever since the first dive into the Digital World DATS had worked to keep the secret of the Digital World from being known to the rest of the world. Occassionally a Digimon would slip inbetween the divide, and when this happened DATS would send it's agents to return them home, unless the Digimon found a human partner. At that time the human and Digimon would join DATS or else have their memory erased.
This system worked to keep the peace, but deep within the depths of the Dark Area a threat began to arise. The Demon Lords, represented by the Digimon Daemon, began to make their move to conquer the Digital World. Knowing of the easyness of humans to fall into greed and gluttony Daemon contacted a scientist working for DATS. With the promise of great power and wealth the scientist, known as Michieru Sutarone, agreed. Given the secrets of Bio-Hyprids the scientist has begun working within DATS to assist Daemon's plans.
On the other side of the good/evil divide Azulongmon has begun watching these movements. Knowing the strength humans could give to their partners he has begun sending Digimon to the human world, hoping they would find someone willing to defend the Digital World against Daemon and the Demon Lords.
And so will you serve as a loyal member of DATS and protect the Human and Digital Worlds, or will you succumb to greed and power and serve Daemon. Only you can decide in...
