With the Sangloupmon defeated Richard and Patamon headed back towards DATS Headquarters. He was exstatic after the victory, and even Patamon had a bit of a self-confidence boost.
"We sure showed that Digimon, didn't we. Of course, with Pen's help." Richard said, making sure that Marisa and Pen knew he appreciated their help.
"I guess so. But I really didn't do anything helpful..." Patamon said.
"Oh come on, don't sell yourself short. You did great. With your bubbles and Pen's ice that Sangloupmon couldn't stand up straight." Richard said as they entered the HQ. He looked around, a bit lost as to where to go next.
"Uh, do any of you remember where the Digital Dive is located?"

Marisa shook her head. "I thought it was in the room with all the computers, but I'm not sure."

"Uh, every room here has computers." Richard said with a bit of a laugh. Looking down the hall, he started taking a look at all the doors hoping to find the Digital Dive.
"Looks like we'll have a bit of a hunt before we find it. Might as well get started."

Marisa nodded and started glancing in doors. "It's a really big tube thing with lots of flashing lights, right?"

"Yeah, I believe thats the general idea. I hope the thing comes with a manual. Otherwise we'll have to get someone else to do it for us." Richard said as he opened doors. There wasn't anything of interest behind them, until he got to one near the end. Inside was what he thought must be the Digital Dive.
"Hey, I think I found it." He said, walking into the room. Moving over to the console, he started taking a look at it while he waited.

Marisa walked over and examined it until she found a small booklet. "Is this it?" She inquired.

"Uh, let's hope so. I really don't want to fry this egg up trying to get it home. So then, Patamon, mind taking the egg over to the machine?"
Patamon nodded and, with some strain, brough the egg over. He quickly returned to Richard, knowing what the machine did through stories.
"Alright, let's see if this works."
Richard started pressing buttons according to the manual, and soon a humming sound could be heard. A stream of data appeared around the egg, and it quickly disappeared. Soon afterwards the machine turned off.
"I think it worked?"

Marisa nodded. "Looks like it. I wonder how the others are doing? I know that guy, Nick went to fight his enemy on his own."

"I don't know. Maybe we can figure out how they are doing from the main control room. I'd look at the situation from here, but I'd hate to accidently set off the Digital Dive. They should be fine though." Richard said, scooping up Patamon as he headed towards the door.

Suddenly, the door slid open and Nick walked in, Kira behind him and the Digitama under one arm. "Where do I ditch this crap? My arm's getting tired." He said, looking around.

"Hey, its not crap, its a Digimon. Wouldn't kill you to be a little more considerate. Anyways..." Richard motioned towards the Digital Dive, "place it in there and I'll get this thing going. So then, how was the mission anyways?"

Nick gently put the egg in the Dive and then shrugged. "It went well enough. Kira and I took down our enemy with relative ease. It was only a champion and we've been training. Find out why these guys were here yet?"

Richard shook his head.
"Absolutely not. All I know is that they get through to our world and we have to send them back. Beyond that I have no knowledge of it. Patamon," Richard nudged his partner, who was asleep, "mind telling us anything you might know?"
Patamon looked down and started mumbling, but one could still kind of hear what he was saying.
"Well, all I remember was flying around, possibly running from some Digimon, and there was this portal of some sort that sucked me in. The next thing I know I'm here."

Nick glanced at Kira. Kira shrugged. "You know how I got to you. I was created by you. That virus malfunctioned and I popped out of it." Nick nodded. "So. Is it possible that something in the Digital World is sending them out?"

"Possibly. But by the way it sounds from Patamon's story its just they accidently cross the barrier between our world and theirs. I don't think there is any malicious intent involved anywhere." Richard said, scooping Patamon up into his arms while leaning against the wall.
