Kai was afraid this would happen. Will was gonna call forth another Toon World, and this time, Kai didn't have anything to stop it.

"Alright then, let's meet ourselves, once again, Toon World. You already know the drill, but there is a difference this time. Toon Goblin Attack Force has been around a turn, so he is free to attack. And between Toon Gemini Elf and my Goblins, thats 4200 damage directly to your life points. Oh, and you discard a card but I don't think that matters."
The Toon World appeared on the field, and once again a small village of toons popped out of a giant book. However, Will's toons had more important things to do than waltz down main street, and proceeded to head straight at Kai.
(Got anything to stop the attacks? TGE is first, and TGAF comes second, if that matters at all)

It'll cost me a lot of life points, but I don't have a choice
"I activate my face-down card, Wall of Revealing Light. I pay 3000 Life Points, so if your monsters have 3000 or less ATK points, they can't attack."
A bright wall appears around Kai's side of the field, ready to stop the toons' attacks.

The toons crashed into the wall, flattening themselves like pancakes. They popped back to life and started banging on the wall, but eventually they gave up and sulked back to their side of the field.
"Okay, you stopped your defeat for one more turn. But still, you took a heavy load of lifepoints to do it. So then, your move."

Kai breathed out the breath he didn't know he was holding. He had managed to stop Will's toons for a while, at least until he destroyed Wall of Revealing Light...
"My turn. Draw"
Kai smiled as he drew his trump card.
"I activate Wave-Motion Cannon." A giant mechanical cannon appeared to Kai's left. "I can destroy this card during my Main Phase." Kai continued. "When I do, for every standby phase that passed, you take 1000 points of damage. You only have 1700 Life Points left, so after two turns, I win."
((anything to stop it? I'm guessing not since you didn't stop my Wall of Revealing Light, but who knows?))

(Actually...)
"Not so fast there Kai. You see, while it didn't stop your wall, I do have a card to stop that. I activate Magic Drain. You have to discard one card from your hand right now or your card is stopped."
Will flipped his card, and soon the color began to drain from the Wave-Motion Cannon.

"fine by me. I discard Shield of courage from my hand, so my magic card is still active." Kai said, as color started to return to his wave-motion cannon..."
((since you don't have any more face-down cards, I'm gonna continue my turn))
"next, I flip summon Roulette Barrel. Roulette Barrel's monster effect activate. During my Main Phase, I roll a dice twice and select 1 result, and destroy 1 monster whose level equals the result."
A hologram of a dice starts to spin and drop. It stops on a four. The dice rose and rolled again, this time landing on a 6.
"I select 4, and destroy your toon goblin attack force."
Roulette Barrel lights up, and fires an energy beam, destroying the toon goblin attack force.
Satisfied, kai ended his turn.
"turn End."

William sighed as he saw his Toon Goblins destroyed. His field was now empty except for his Toon Gemini Elf. He drew his next card, and his face drooped. It wasn't anything useful for him, but at least he had a plan for what to do next.
"Alright then, I special summon Toon Mermaid to the field. She can only be special summoned when Toon World is on the field. Thank goodness for that because guess what I happen to have. She won't be staying long because I sacrifice her and Toon Gemini Elf to bring out Blue Eyes Toon Dragon."
The two toons disappeared into the pages of the book, and out popped a tiny toonified version of the Blue Eyes.
"Sure, can't attack you directly, but his 8 stars protect me from your Roulette Barrel monster. Thank goodness for six-sided dice."

lucky for me, blue-eyes toon dragon only has 3000 ATK. 1 more point and I'd be dead.
"My turn. Draw."
Kai drew his card. It wasn't anything useful, but he didn't really need much else right now.
Meanwhile, Wave-Motion Cannon started to charge.
"I'll switch my Roulette Barrel to Defense Position" as a horizontal card appeas beneath Roulette Barrel "and I activate the field spell card, Chorus of Sanctuary. This increases the DEF of all Defense Position monsters by 500 points."
There wasn't much else Kai could or had to do, seeing as how blue eyes toon dragon was a level 8 monster, so he ended his turn.
"Turn end."
Field: Marshmallon, Total Defense Shogun, Roulette Barrel
Chorus of Sanctuary, Wall of Revealing Light, Wave-motion Cannon
Hand: 1 card
Grave: shift, dust tornado, big shield gardna, discovering ruins, magic jammer, shield of courage

This is your last chance Will. You either get something to destroy that Wall of Revealing Light, or loose.
Will drew his card, and slowly looked down.
"Well, I'll admit this was a pretty tough dual, and that this is a pretty tight situation that I'm stuck in. However," he looked back up at his opponent with a grin, "Mystical Space Typhoon should be of great help because it's going to knock down that wall of yours."
He placed the card on his field, and soon a gigantic vortext began to suck down the all of Revealing Light. Soon it was compltely engulfed by it, and the field was clear for attack.
"Good duel Kai, but now it's time to end this. Blue Eyes Toon Dragon, finish him off."
The toonified dragon cackled off a laugh as it began to charge a massive blast of lightning in its mouth. With one last giggle, the attack was launched right over Kai's monsters and right at him. Will's lifepoints fell by 500 to pay for it, leaving him with 1200 LP. But it wouldn't really matter since BETD was packing 3000 LP compared to Kai's remaining 1000 LP.

Kai sighed as he admitted defeat. There wasn't anything he could do. His face-down Ultimate Offering wouldn't be helpful, and the last card in his hand was Exxod, Master of the Guard... It was times like these, he wished he had his Kuriboh in his hand. But as he did not, all Kai could do was wait for the attack to hit him full force.
Of course, it didn't hurt, at least not as much as it should if it was real, but Kai still staggered a little after the attack. He saw his duel disk display his life points dropping to 0, and all holograms disappearing...
Alicia looked at her friend, Kai. She felt both sad and happy, for the same reason. He was 1 turn away from winning his first duel (excluding the one he had when he registered for the school. He didn't REALLY win, but he didn't exactly lose either). It meant he was improving, which made her happy.

"Well Kai, that was a fun game. Got pretty tight near the end. I almost thought I was going to loose for a moment. I have to say you underestimate yourself though." Will said, giving the newbie his take on the battle.
With nothing else left for him to do on stage, he jumped off it and started to walk over to Kai and his friend. He noticed she was in a Ra Yellow uniform, and for a moment thanked the school in his head for making all dorms co-ed.
"So then, are you a friend of Kai's? I think he mentioned earlier waiting for some people."

Kai silently thanked Will. True, his new deck worked much better than he thought. Still, fact was fact, and he had lost.
Nothing left to do, Kai got off the stage and walked towards Alicia. When he got there, he said, "I swear I'm cursed with forever losing or, well never winning, or something."
"Come on. Don't be so hard on yourself. You heard Will, it was a good duel, and you almost won." Alicia replied.
Just then they noticed Will coming over.
"Well at least he didn't forget we were supposed to meet," Alicia joked. "Hi. My name's Alicia. Alicia Rein. And yes, we, along with our third friend, Daimon, have been friends since nearly the start of Middle School. Daimon and I have been friends for longer, actually. Anyway, I see you're also in Ra Yellow. What's it like there?"
Kai wasn't really listening to Alicia and Will's conversation after that. He was busy looking through his deck, thinking of ways to improve it. He stopped at Discovering Ruins, a spell card that could retrieve 1 field spell card from his graveyard, and decided to take it out. Chorus of Sanctuary wasn't that important to his deck. He also took out a few more cards...

"It's not a bad place at all. Relatively comfortable. Better than Slifer Red, no offense Kai," Will said, hoping that last comment didn't hurt Kai's feelings. He could tell the kid didn't enjoy loosing, so being placed in the lowest dorm probably didn't help things.
"But obviously it is not as opulent as Obelisk Blue."
Will leaned against the stage, glancing over at Kai and watching him shuffle around his cards. He was probably trying to improve his deck, which was an understandable thing. He'd probably be doing it himself sometime tonight, seeing as he really needed some more cards to deal with traps and magic cards.
"So you said you had a third friend to meet with? What cabin is he in?"

"Daimon? He's the best duelist out of the three of us, so naturally, he's in Obelisk Blue. Actually I could've been in Obelisk Blue too, but I decided to go to Ra Yellow so Kai didn't feel so left behind in Slifer Red."
Alicia glanced over at Kai. She was a bit surprised Kai didn't mention anything about not having to watch over him, like when she first mentioned going to Ra Yellow, but she could see that Kai was busy with his deck and probably wasn't listening. All the better, probably.
