The Five Nations are embroiled in one of the most violent wars ever, while they duel one another on an epic scale smaller states are swept into the conflict, forced to take sides in a war that no one wanted. Shinobi are sent to slaughter one another every day, some return, most don't. Some seek simply to end the war while others see it as a chance to grab power for themselves. In the midst of it all the individual is forgotten. But who you are and what you do are twined together, whatever orders are given by your Kage, it is up to you to decide who and what you are.
Defender or Destroyer? Sinner or Saint? Self-Centered or Sacrificial? The choice is up to you, but remember that every action holds a consequence, such a war can only last so long... before someone has to lose.

The Cursed Mountain. Battle For The Chakra Crystals!
Many are the legends told of the beast known as the Kyuubi, some indicating it as a God, others as the Devil incarnate, whatever the case may be one legend in particular stands out among the rest. It concerns the long ages in which the Kyuubi removed itself from the world, licking its wounds after its most recent battle with its brethren, he sought out the deepest cave he could find and rested for countless generations. The landscape changed around him as he slept and when he awoke he found himself surrounded by glittering brilliance, the rocks which he had slept by had been altered by his mere presence, thinking nothing of it at the time he departed, sealing the cave as he went. Over thousands of years a mountain formed upon the spot where the cave once was, this peak consisted almost entirely of these Chakra Crystals which resonated with the Kyuubi's chakra. Eventually though the Kyuubi's chakra began to concentrate itself, until at last it took form in the heart of the mountain, in a fist sized gem which would later become known as the Kyuubi's Heart.
Years later the site was discovered by the people that lived nearby who began to worship the Kyuubi as a God, not long after its founding the cult was discovered by The Sage Of The Six Paths, who had been drawn by the allure of the Kyuubi's chakra, he demanded the cult give up its most sacred relic, the Kyuubi's Heart. Naturally the High Priest refused and The Sage all but destroyed the cult in the ensuing battle, he was however unable to overcome the power of the Heart and after a battle which lasted for days he departed. This incident instilled a firm hatred of all things to do with shinobi in the hearts and minds of the cultists.
Now the mountain has begun emitting a strange signal of chakra, this is the first part of an ancient prophecy which foretells the return of the Bijuu and the end of the world, the only thing that can stop it is the Heart's destruction, a feat which legend indicates can only be achieved by a person sacrificing his or her own life.
