Toshiro smiled softly when she clapped, now he felt incredibly guilty that he didnt do anything to show that he was happy for her. Then again if she felt like she had to encourage him... well it made him feel very childish too. He laughed at her comment about Mai though, it was probably true. Mai wore bright red and blue clothes which wasnt very good for a ninja, but what ever floats her boat worked for him.
"I know colors pretty well, but thats about as helpful as I can be. Have you seen pictures of lady Sakura when she was younger, like when she was sixteen or so? Something like that isnt too girly."

"Lady Sakura?" Akane asked, confused. She thought for a moment, and then quickly responded to her own question.
"Oh, that was the Kage's wife, wasn't it? I don't think I've seen any pictures of her at that age. I've heard she is pretty though. Must have been if your former Kage liked her. Do you know what she looked like? Maybe I can get some ideas off of it for my own outfit."
While she didn't particularly like stealing outfit ideas from other people, this Sakura lady probably hadn't been in that outfit for years. She probably wouldn't mind if Akane borrowed it. That is, if Akane liked it enough to do so. Still, she wondered why Toshiro had brought up that specific woman's style?

The only reason that he knew about this stuff was because he saw a couple of pictures at the Uchiha household of them in their younger years. Toshiro had to think about it for a little bit longer, but once it came back to him he began to describe it to her.
"Well, she wore like a no sleeved shirt that zipped up. Then she wore these black shorts, but over that she wore a kind of apron thing, because she was a medical ninja after all. I dont know if the knee high boot sandal things though. Maybe Hinata Hyuuga`s teenaged style might suit you better? Its a little more covered up, just like a coat and some pants."

Akane had heard of the Hyuugas, though the name Hinata wasn't anything that jumped out at her. Still, the girl's clothing sounded like something that she would wear. It sounded rather practical for someone who used ice jutsu to wear a coat. At the same time, it was really similar to what she was already wearing. Sakura's clothing was a bit out of the norm for her, but that was sort of what she was going for. Over the last few months she had broken out, for the most part, of her old,shy self, and she kind of wanted to express that with a change in clothing.
I can't believe I'm actually thinking so hard about my clothing. A year or two ago I would have been more concerned about not getting myself killed. Kind of glad that I can think about something else for a change.
"You know Toshiro, just a year ago I wouldn't even be thinking about this sort of thing. Running from the Mist Village, not wanting to be killed. Those were my main concerns. Now here I am, able to think about clothes. Feels kind of nice to be able to act normal for once."

Toshiro nodded his head as he thought of what Akane would look like in each outfit. He glanced down at his own incredibly simple clothing style, but didnt think he would change it for awhile. Though a new change of the clothes might be nice, so he didnt have to wash them ever single night. Mai had stitched up any major damage to his clothes when he first got to Konoha, Toshiro nearly laughed. He could hardly believe that such a hyper girl could do something very mellow.
"Yeah I know what you mean, I`ve been on the run for a long time too. My old village believes that Im responsible for murdering my team. But not only that, Pein was my master. He trained me as best as he could before he died." Toshiro replied, but he put on a smile, "Did you know that Mai could sew? She hates doing it, but she does when she has to. Lord Sasuke told her to when I first got here. At first I thought nothing of it... but now that I know her... well its hilarious."

Akane had to laugh when she thought of Mai Uchiha trying to sew. It wasn't that she didn't think she could do it was, well, who would expect her to be able to do so. And since Toshiro's clothes weren't falling apart, she could do it pretty well. That was just surprising.
"No, I didn't know she could sew. I'm with you on it being hilarious,'she replied.
"Just surprised she didn't add something to it like the Uchiha clan symbol or something. She seems rather proud of her clan, though I guess since it's just barely on the rise again she needs to be."
Akane remembered she was suppossed to be helping Toshiro with that one jutsu, so she stood up and dusted herself off.
"Anyway, why don't we get to work on that jutsu liked you asked. I might work on something else too."

Toshiro shrugged, he was up for it if she was. And since she offered to show him what to do that probably meant she was willing to show him what to do. He shook out his hands, they felt a little sore from the last technique he had learned. Seeing Akane nearly throw up to preform the technique was a little bit on the scary side though.
"Only if your up to it. If you have something else planned dont bother wasting your time on me." Toshiro replied. He shyly put his hands in his pockets and glanced away from her, for awhile Toshiro felt so confident, but he was quickly losing it.

"Yeah, I'm good now. If you're afraid me puking, don't. Even if I feel a little queazy, I think I got past the point of vomiting."
Akane noticed Toshiro suddenly going quiet and shy again and decided to give him a bit of a confidence boost. She put her arm on his shoulder, knowing that it would probably make him freak. Most people wouldn't do that, but she was willing to take advantage of anything she could to help out her teammates. Even if that meant taking advantage of his crush on her.
"Besides, you're not a waste of time at all. You just lifted up boulders most people would cringe. I think together we can get you to spit up some water."

Toshiro seized up when he felt her arm go around his shoulders. His stomach nearly leapt out of his mouth, and for a moment he thought that he was going to throw up. Slowly his eyes made their way up to her, Toshiro gulped. Eventually he calmed himself down, but he was a little bit upset that Akane would do that to him unless she actually meant it. Toshiro quickly moved away and turned to face her, hopefully she wasnt offended that he moved. He nearly said something, but he stopped while he was ahead.
"So... what do I need to do?" He asked her, still feeling a little uncomfortable from the moment before. Toshiro slowly crossed his arms across his chest as if he was really really nervous, not like when Mai crossed her arms in the skeptical cocky way that she always did.

Akane wasn't offended by Toshiro moving away. It had been expected. Still, she didn't mean to make him so nervous, and one could tell because her face went into some sort of apologetic frown as well as blushing.
"Uhm, Toshiro, I hope you didn't make you feel nervous because of that. I didn't mean to make you feel that uncomfortable. I was just trying to make you feel a bit better since you were calling yourself a waste of time."
Akane went into an awkward silence after that before remembering she was supposed to help him learn that technique.
"So, uhm, not to be rude, but that awkward feeling we're probably feeling right now kind of gives you an idea of what you're stomach is going to feel like when you're first practicing it as you focus your chakra into your stomach. Work on making sure it doesn't lead to vomiting and you're a good ways into the technique."

"Even if I do throw up, I havent eaten anything all day so nothing gross should come up." Toshiro replied, he took a deep breath then looked up towards Akane. His arms loosened up a bit, to the point where he could put his hands back in his pockets. He closed his eyes to focus, and since Toshiro was facing Akane that was a good thing.
When he began to focus his chakra into his stomach he felt it jerk, Toshiro cringed a little as he made sure his mouth was tightly shut. There was absolutely no way that he would barf all over the place in front of Akane. Toshiro`s hands shook uncomfortably, but he couldnt hold it in any longer. He coughed and a teeny tiny little blast of water came out of his mouth, it was like a squirt gun though. But Toshiro coughed and coughed until his throat was sore. He spit off to the side to get the sticky feeling out of his mouth.
"I think that I want to learn a fire ninjutsu next, water isnt settling well with me." Toshiro laughed a little bit then coughed again, but he put on a smile for good measure. Then
he began the process all over again. This time the sensation wasnt nearly as terrible, but it was enough to make him almost throw up again.

Apparently Akane wasn't the only one who could get themselves caught up in their own jutsu. She watched as Toshiro started coughing up water, and started to run over to help. However, once he started talking, she knew he would be alright. Just a little hiccup at the start. At least he was able to get the water to come up.
"Well, I don't think I can help you with that. I don't know anything about fire jutsu. You'd have to ask Mai about that. But if you ever want to work on ice jutsu, I'm your girl." She said with a smile, hoping that keeping an optimistic look would keep Toshiro in a good mood.

Toshiro smiled back when she mentioned ice jutsu, that would probably be a good thing to learn in the long run. He opened his eyes up again to see that the front of his shirt was a little bit wet, thankfully it wasnt soaked just yet. Again he focused his chakra to his stomach, he felt the gross rolling of the water. Toshiro gagged, but avoided throwing up. Instead he struggled to hold it in, and once he couldnt any longer Toshiro just let the water flow up his throat and out of his mouth. This time the blast of water was quite a bit bigger than the first one. But this water blast soaked his shirt. Without thinking Toshiro pulled off his shirt and threw it over his shoulder.
He stopped suddenly and very slowly looked up at Akane. Toshiro quickly scrambled to put it back on so he didnt make her uncomfortable or anything.
"Im terrible sorry." Toshiro sputtered, he fidgeted with his hands to avoid eye contact with her.

When Toshiro took of his shirt, Akane looked away. It was more for his sake than hers, because he didn't want him to feel uncomfortable. However, the sound of his apologizing alerted her to the fact that he had probably put it back on. Turning around, her suspicions were confirmed. She was blushing a little bit at the thought of what had happened, but tried to hide it.
"No need to apologize. We were just at the hotspring the other day so it's not like I haven't been around you with your shirt off...that sounded strange didn't it." She said with a bit of a weak laugh, hoping it would break the tension a little bit.

Toshiro tucked the shirt back under his belt so it his shirt didnt fly up in his face or anything, not that it was possible there was hardly a breeze. He attempted to smile back, but it was more of a crooked grin. Toshiro jumped right back into training so he didnt feel so awkward. His eyes closed again so he wouldnt have to make the situation any more awkward than it already was.
' Focus focus focus focus..... oh god.... I think shes staring at me again, hopefully she doesnt hate me. Please please please dont hate me.'
He silenced his mind and took a deep breath. Each time he attempted to preform the jutsu, the less and less his stomach was upset over the chakra. And again once he was ready he forced the chakra into his throat and it came up in a sudden shot of water. Toshiro wasnt quite ready for it, but he was glad to get it out of his mouth. He opened up his eyes to see if she was going to say anything, and when Toshiro was sure she wasnt he got ready for the technique again. Toshiro didnt take as long to focus the chakra, he wanted to test and see if he could do it faster. As he forced the water out, he thought about something awkward and accidentally swallowed the water. Toshiro coughed violently until all of the water was out of his system.
