Garun hugged her before whispering into her ear. "I should get back to Hino and Akane" Garun said letting go of Mai and walking over to Hino and Akane. As he got to Hino he stuck his tongue out at him. "Looks like she is in control again" His face then went serious. "Im worried though because we are only Genin and thoug I want to do this mission Im worried that we may go back to the leaf unwhole or seriously injured" He whispered to Hino who just looked away in thought.

Hojo just shook his head as he heard bits and pieces of the conversation between Garun and Mai. They were attacked by a shinobi with some relatively good skill and they were worried about petty romantic troubles. Then again, they were kids, and being more worried about that would probably help keep their minds off certain death. Still, one could only take so much teen angst before going crazy.

Mai had overheard what Garun asked Akane, she probably didnt know the answer to that question, and probably didnt want to be asked a question like that. Mai shot Garun a glance trying to tell him to stop before she flipped out on him too. Akane seemed sort of touchy on subjects like that.

Garun caught the glance and said "It doesnt matter". He then stepped back into position next to her. Hino on the other hand stepped in front of her and said "yes it does matter Garun so tell us how badly they want you". He said the last bit to Akane

Garun just looked away before suddenly shooting his head back to Mai. He then ran over to her. "You dont mean he knew about the fox." Garun said to her. Turning his head to look at Akane he said to Mai in a whisper "Does she have one too" He asked her

Akane was about to try and answer Garun's and Hino's question when Mai stepped in and answered for her. Seeing as her input wasn't needed she just remained quiet. Still, it was a bit upsetting that they seemed to know more about her than she did.
"Mai, it's alright if they ask. It's true though, I don't really know myself, but it seems that you guys might have an idea. If so please tell me. Maybe knowing what it is might help."
