Akane just kind of blinked when they mentioned tail beast. She had heard of them of course, but her having one? Would that even make any sense? Weren't the people who contained them usually great ninja, like that Naruto person from the Leaf Village or Gaara from the Sand Village.
"No, no, that can't be! Every person I've heard of that had a tailed beast was some great ninja. I'm not that great of a ninja, I can barely fight for that matter. It's got to be something else there after."

Akane was still refusing to believe she contained some kind of demon inside her. She couldn't think of anytime in her life that she could have gotten it, and she didn't have a seal or anything on her either. That should prove that she didn't have anything, right?

"Um, well, I do have these spots on my sides, about three on each side. But I had thought that they might have been some design or something my parents put on me when I was younger, or maybe a birthmark. Do you really think they're being caused by a demon?"
Akane was starting to sound a bit more panicky now. She knew about the demons, and being told she had one inside her was not the best news in the world. The containers were usually hated, despised by the village...just like she was. It all seemed to fit together now; maybe she really was the container of a demon.
But then, how did Mai know all of this? Was she a demon host too? That would explain the whiskers and all.

Akane was being sincere when she asked these questions, not angry. She really didn't know why things were different between Mai and her. They both had demons apparently, but they were on the opposite ends of life. She was constantly living in fear of being attacked, and Mai was relatively safe. Mai had friends, she was alone.

Akane didn't really know how to respond to that. No one had ever offered to be her friend, and yet this girl just went up and offered it. This was getting into new territory, but it was one she had wanted to enter.
"Al..al..alright then Mai. Just don't go and get yourself killed for me, alright? I don't think that was the last time we'll see that guy."

Turning his head he saw Hino was looking really mad. "Why on earth didnt you tell me you had a tailed beast. Im on your team so Im pretty sure that information was needed for us to function preoperly" Hino yelled at Mai

Oh and now we are gonna get hunted because we are now walking with two containers instead of just one" Hino shouted back. Garun just stayed quiet not wanting to get dragged in.
