Mission Name: Infiltration of the Jashin Cult
Mission Rank: B- Special Jounin and Chuunin
Mission Description: Recent reports suggest that a branch of the Jashin cult has begun to make it's way into Konoha. Due to past experience, it is known that members of this cult are dangerous and must be dealt with. Infiltrate and eliminate the cult leader.
Mission Pay: 2500 Yen

Since this mission was given to Daisuke to test his leadership abilities he was at the gates and ready to go before either of the other two were there. He was about an hour early to go over the mission and some kind of plan in his head. He waited for his teammates quietly.
Awhile later Mai came bounding down the path to the gates of Konoha, her mind was going a million miles an hour. This was her first real mission as a chuunin and had no idea what was in store. Little did she know what was to happen, or else she might have had a change of heart about the mission.
"Ready to go Daisuke?"
"Yup."

"Don't forget about me you two. This may be Daisuke's test, but I'm still the jounin around here." Hojo yelled out as he started to walk up to them.
He knew that this was Daisuke's chance to shine, and was only messing with him a little. They were about to get involved in what sounded like a very distrubing mission. The cult of Jashin was a death cult, finding pleasure and fulfillment in killing people and causing pain. These were people who would not only be willing to kill, but considered it their pleasure and duty to do so. He just hoped Mai would be able to handle it.
"Now then, according to the information given, there has been an increased amount of activity occuring in a series of caves located on the oppossite side of the Hokage Monument. A rather sick place to be doing their rituals if you ask me. So I suggest we start over there and see what we can find."

Daisuke nodded his head and turned to the Hokage monument. He looked to his two team mates and thought of the best group formation. It would probably good to have the super sharp eyes in the front and back of the group, and the strongest in the middle so he could assist either one quickly.
"Alright, if these guys are psychopathic killers then we better have a set of eyes in the front and the back. I think that if I took the front, Hojo takes the middle, and if Mai took up the back it would give us the most range of sight. But use of the sharingan might waste a bit of chakra, but I`m sure we`ll probably need them anyways." Daisuke told the two, not sure if Hojo wanted to give the orders. Since this was his test Daisuke assumed that he was to take command of the mission. "Any objections to the placements? Eyes in the front and back, with Hojo in the middle so he can assist either of us."
Mai didnt say anything, but she allowed herself to fall behind the other two as her brother had directed.

"Sounds fine to me." Hojo replied. It was easy to see that Daisuke knew how to place a team. With two Sharingan users placed defending the back and the front, it would be almost impossible to sneak up on them. The only way it could have been better was if they had been two Hyuuga clan members, since the Byakugan had the added bonus of being able to see chakra.
Hojo got into his position between the two of them and waited for Daisuke to lead the way.

Daisuke lead them out of the gates and started off down the dirt path that would eventually lead them around the village, their target was the cave behind the hokage monument for now. He didnt use his sharingan just yet since there was probably little to no danger in right in front of the gates. There was only one major worry in his mind at the moment, would Mai be able to kill somebody if she had to? Daisuke knew that his sister had never killed a soul in her life, maybe been close to seriously hurting somebody but never killing them.
"Mai, there is something you have to understand now. This mission could take a turn for the worst, and you may have to kill somebody. If you feel that you can not do this, tell me right now and I will find you a replacement." Daisuke told her, Mai knew that a conversation like this was bound to happen someday.
"I wont bail out on you Daisuke, dont worry." Mai assured him.
"No hesitating, you wont have more than a second or else you`ll lose your life or a team mate could lose theirs. Hojo and I wont be able to protect you, dont make the council regret assigning you to this mission." Mai was surprised to see him so serious, it wasnt like Daisuke. He must have been really worked up over this mission, or else he just wanted to get home to visit his girl friend.
"Activate your sharingan Mai." Daisuke`s eyes folded with the blood like color. His tomoe began to circle his pupils. Mai on the other hand only had one tomoe per eye. Both of them were extremely alert now that they were getting father from Konoha.

Hojo stood quietly as Daisuke began to speak to Mai about the possibility of killing someone. While he had done it before, he never enjoyed having to kill someone. It was a rather ironic thought when you considered they were about to head to the heart of a cult that dedicated themselves to killing.
"He's right Mai. On a mission like this, you have to be able to accept the fact that you may have to kill someone in order to complete the mission, or to protect your squadmates. But don't think that accepting that fact means you enjoy killing. I've been a Chuunin for years now, and I still find it an unpleasant experience."
Considering who their enemy was, and what Mai was, Hojo thought it was best to bring up that last part. Many people, knowing both of the Kyuubi and the history of the Uchiha, were suspicious of her. While Naruto had also contained the Kyuubi, he had his entire lifetime to work at getting the recognition and respect he deserved. Mai, however, was tainted not just by the Kyuubi, but by the disgrace Sasuke had brought on himself through his actions in the village.
He hoped that she could overcome those obstacles and succeed in her quest to become Hokage. There had been many ninja who, in similar situations, lost their humanity and became killing creatures, like the stories he had heard from the older generations about Gaara of the Sand before he met Naruto. Others became consumed with their own hatred and lust for revenge, like Mai's own father Sasuke. Finally, some ended with their ideals becoming twisted and destructive, like Pain of the original Akatsuki.
Mai Uchiha, I wish you the best on your life because history shows that you'll be having a tough one, but it also shows great things can come of it because of that.

Mai listened to Hojo add in on Daisuke`s serious adult talk. She felt like for the first time in her life that somebody was actually taking her seriously, and it was a fantastic feeling. Even if the topic was murder, she felt like she was high in the ranks. A genin was never given such a serious situation. But oddly enough she managed to have a smile on her face, Daisuke glanced back at his younger sister and smiled back. She was finally starting to get it, life wasnt so simple anymore.
It was so new to feel these added responsibilities, but if she ever wanted to be the hokage of the village hidden in the leaves she would just have to get used to it. Mai took a deep breath, letting go of her fears, and exhaled. If she didnt respond quickly to some sort of danger any one of them could die, she would never forgive herself to see one of her closest friends or family fall before her eyes. Mai snarled at the though, no person would harm any friend of hers and live to see the next day.
"I understand, I wont let you down and thats a promise I have every intention on keeping." Her voice wasnt overly excited, Mai tried to make herself sound older by not seeming to hyper. Mai brushed a couple of strands of hair out of her face and reached down to her kunai pouch, grabbing her set of chakra knives. They were her favorite weapons, especially after she heard Asuma`s story.
"I know, your way too stubborn to let anything get in your way. Keep up the determination and you`ll go far Mai, farther than me ... farther then father, or any shinobi that came before us." Daisuke told her.
"You really think so Daisuke?"
Daisuke raised an eyebrow and looked over his shoulder to look back at her. He grinned at his sister and said, "I dont think so, I know so. Now lets quiet ourselves, we`re getting closer."
Daisuke quickly leapt up into a tree and jumped from one tree to another, getting ahead of the group for a moment to take a quick survey of the area. When he didnt see anything, he stopped himself and leapt off of the branch. The Uchiha landed back on the ground and turned to his group.
"Alright, we`re almost there." Daisuke whispered, just loud enough for Hojo and Mai to hear. The older of the Uchiha siblings had to start quickly formulating a plan. An ambush would be the best thing for them since they didnt know how many of these murderous religious freaks were there. The leader of the group was probably the most dangerous, and nearly immortal from the sounds of it. That would probably be a huge problem that he would have to face. Close up attacks would probably be the best for the leader, but they would have to rip him into pieces so he wouldnt be able to attack them.
"There will probably be many of these psychos, so an ambush is our best bet. Any suggestions on a plan of attack? A frontal attack would be foolish, but theres only one way inside of a cave." Daisuke started to go through different attack plans in his head, but remembered Mai`s chuunin exam performance.
"What I was thinking was that myself and Mai could transform into a common object, such as a kunai or shuriken. Then Hojo could carry us inside, unnoticed by the cult freaks. I have a feeling that long range attacks wont work well, since these people probably wont go down to easily. The ring leader of this cult will probably be the hardest of all, I think that Mai would do well to slice him up... but I do not think she would be fast enough. So i`ll take him on, you two will back me up. I`ll need you guys to distract the guy as much as possible so i can go in for the take down."
Mai nodded occasionally, she drew a little diagram in her head.
"Dead or alive?"
Daisuke looked up at her and said, "What do you mean by that?"
"Do we need to bring him in alive, or should we just kill him?"
They both looked at Hojo to see if he knew, but Daisuke decided to answer instead.
"By any means necessary. But he most likely wont make it out of the cave alive."

"The mission did say to eliminate them, but they also said to get more information on these cultist. Then again, we could get that from any of them, so most it is most likely that we are going to have to kill him." Hojo replied to Mai's questioning on whether they needed to bring the man in alive or dead.
He stood quietly as Daisuke laid out his plan. It sounded simple enough, though he wasn't a hundred percent sure if they could hold a transformation technique for that long. Besides, he wasn't even sure he was the best candidate for sneaking into the compound.
"Daisuke, I'm not sure we could hold a transformation technique for that long. It would be a big drain on chakra to do so. Furthermore, I'm not the most stealthy of ninja, so you would be a better choice for the actual infiltration. Besides, with that Sharingan, you would be able to notice any subtle movements I'd normally miss. So it might be best if you lead the infiltration and..."
The sounds of voices from the cave forced Hojo to quiet down, and he quickly hid behind a tree to prevent being seen. There was a group of cultists, four of them as far as he could see, coming outside. Apparently these people were rather hardcore, as they had painted themselves black with white skeleton drawings. He could tell it was painted on because the quality wasn't that good at all, and it was cracking in a few areas. There were three men and a woman, all unarmed. All of them were wearing what looked to be a robe, torn along the shoulder to expose part of the chest (the female, of course, wearing a shirt underneath).
"Daisuke, it might be easier to knock this group of cultist out and steal their 'uniform', and then use transformation technique to account for the body painting. As for Mai, if we pose as cultist, we could simply say she is a ninja that was captured spying on us. Something like that would hopefully allow us to get an audience with their leader."

Daisuke scratched his chin, his plan had so many little holes in it so it probably wouldnt work all that well. He had to remember that he and Hojo had normal levels of chakra and would have so much extra to burn like Mai had. If they were desperate the plan would probably work, but it came as no surprise a better idea came when Hojo had a chance to speak.
"Okay, capture the women. Women are generally more weak minded, so she`ll probably spew the info that we need. No offense Mai." Daisuke whispered the the group as they hid behind the trees. "Mai, are you up for being the bait?" He was extremely hesitant to let his little sister face the most danger, but once they were exposed all of the cultists would know anyways.
"Yup." Normally Mai would have complained, but this was Daisuke`s moment to shine so she didnt argue. But when the cultists wandered closer and closer to them she took up a defensive pose, there was no time to argue.
Daisuke raised his hand, with one finger raised. As the cultists approached them he raised another finger, then once they were even closer he raised a third finger, signaling to snatch one of the people.

Hojo had to hold back a laugh at Daisuke's remark that women were generally weak minded. All he had to do was look at Hojo's generation of shinobi (or at least the older half) to see that was wrong. It was filled with women who could beat him down easy. Sakura Haruno, Hinata Hyuuga, Ino Yamanka, TenTen, Tsunade. Still, it was at the moment a point not worth arguing about, so for now he'd be quiet. Daisuke should watch himself, though, as he might get a visit from a rather sore Sakura.
Hojo kept an eye on the cultist, waiting for Daisuke to give the order to pounce. The three men were in front, with the women bringing up the rear. She was a little ways off from them, and if they were silent, could be taken out without the other three hearing them.
"Daisuke, aim for the women first and knock her out. If your quick and silent, we can knock her out without the others being alerted, and then knock the other three out with no probelm. Avoids a major fight, and prevents one from getting away and alerting the others."

Daisuke nodded his head, hoping that the women was not a squealer. That could cause serious problems in the very near future and could easily endanger the whole team. When she walked past Daisuke quickly grabbed her, covered her mouth, and went for the pressure point in her neck but not hard enough to kill her but was enough to knock her out for awhile.
Mai really wanted to try what ever it was that her brother was doing. But she had to stay focused as long as she could so they could snag all of the cultists and move onto the next part of the mission. Her eyes followed her brother as he snuck up on the others and did the same thing.
"If we tied them up that probably wouldnt do us much good, we only need one of them. Whats your call for the other ones Hojo?" Daisuke asked in a whisper.
(Didnt know if you wanted to play them or not so i just assumed that we`d want to get past this phase asap)

The women had attempted to yell, but Daisuke's hand muffled her enough that it didn't reach the ears of the other cultists. She went down rather easily, and soon fell to the ground. The other cultist didn't have a clue, though once Daisuke came in to start on them, they soon found out what was going on. Before they did anything though, Hojo came to provide some assistance, which meant a Dynamic Entry attack to one guy's head, and a quick flurry of punches to another. They went down, and weren't going to be coming back up anytime soon.
"Well, depending on how the cult works, they might have various levels of it. And each level may have some knowledge of the cult, and possibly jutsu, that the other levels don't. It's a gamble, but we should go ahead take all of them as prisoners for interrogation. Just wish we had a way to get ahold of the ANBU, but for now let's go ahead and get these robes on."
With that, Hojo found the largest of the men and began to take the robe off and wear it himself. He looked rather odd in it since he was still wearing his own clothing, but a quick use of the transformation jutsu and he looked exactly like the man he had taken it from.
"Let's get in there asap so we can get these robes off. I don't know how someone fights in these things."

Daisuke nodded his head and found a smaller sized man and took his robe. He put it on over his own clothes and shifted around uncomfortably. Daisuke quickly used a transformation jutsu so he looked exactly like the man whom he took the robe from. Mai raised an eyebrow, wondering what she was supposed to do.
"Your going to be the captured ninja, but once we get in there do we want Mai to attack? And if so, what would work the best? A direct assault? Or we could wait for everybody to sleep and attack while everybody is out cold. "

"We don't know how large the cult is, which makes things a bit on the harder side. I suggest we head inside and get a feel for the situation before making any commitment to a plan." Hojo replied..
"So then Mai, who do you want to carry you, Daisuke or me?" Hojo asked jokingly, trying to lighten up the rather grim situation a little bit.

Mai crossed her arms, she didnt want to be carried by either of them. But the thought of her brother throwing her over his shoulder just freaked her out a bit, but since she and Hojo werent related it wouldnt be so awkward.
"Hojo can carry me, so does that mean i can kick and try to get away from you?" Mai stuck out her tongue and laughed quietly.
