"The past ... thirteen years or so."Hiroshi told them with a smile. Mai nodded. "Oh that reminds me, I got you something today Mai."
Hiroshi stood up and unzipped the small backpack he had hanging off one shoulder. He dug around and pulled out an orange hat with long kyuubi like ears. He handed it too her.
"I had it specially made for after your first mission, I hope you like it."
Mai took the hat, and looked it over, then put it on and flopped the ears back.
"Thanks Hiroshi! Its awesome!"
(I wanted to throw the hat in there because Im wearing a kyuubi ear hat right now lol)

"Oh that is along time. So are you two still just friends or is there something else" Hino asked them quietly so Garun never heard. Hino didnt know exactly what was going on between Mai and Garun but he knew they were more than friends so he was worried that Hiroshi and Mai acting so close might affect him.
Garun was oblivious to this as he was busy asking the man about the food.
((You say when the food is ready and hopefully soon as Garun might attack the guy behind the counter lol))

"Oh, Hiroshi`s my best friend ... kinda like an older brother whos always there for me."Mai told them. Hiroshi smiled.
"Our parents were quite close before we were born, then when my mother died I was asked to look after Mai."He stated, "She sort of gave my life meaning again."
"Blehh thats like a bad soap opera Hiro."Giggled Mai.
Teuchi, the owner of Ichiraku quickly put the ramen on the counter and fled to the back room so Garun wouldnt attack him. Mai grabbed a bowl and passed to to Henjin, then grabbed two more and gave one to Hiroshi. Mai broke apart her chop sticks and watched Garun to see if he attacked the ramen or something.

Garuns eyes glowed before he began stuffing his face with the ramen. After a minute he stopped to breathe before asking "Where did that nice guy go" Garun asked before shrugging. He then began eating again. Hino was alot slower at eating than Garun. "So theres no chance of something else forming between you too" He asked after a bite.

Mai didnt hear the question because she was slurping her ramen.

Hino was about to reply when Garun made an outburst. "can I have some more please" He shouted while holding up his clean and empty bowl. Once Garun finished shouted Hino said "Im worried that Garun might get hurt. I dunno if you have noticed but those two are closer than friends I am sure of it" Hino said to Hiroshi

"Yeah, shes been talking about him a lot lately."Hiroshi replied, "Well what ever choice she makes is fine with me I guess. If she wants to like me then she can, or if she wants to like him thats fine too."
The shop owner quickly peeked from behind the door and got another bowl of ramen and set it on the counter in front of Garun.

"Thanks" Garun said before he began wolfing down his second bowl. "Ok. I just dont want him getting hurt. He is the first person in a while to treat me like a friend so i will look out for him. Though If you ever tell him that then I will deny it and probably kill you" hino said with a slight smile.

"Extreme is sometimes better. Mai is nothing but a team mate and i hope a friend. Nothing is gonna ever happen between us too. And I probably wont kill you. Just hurt you and leave you stranded with no chakra" He said before smiling. "Though aslong as you dont tell Garun I dont want him sad then you get to keep your chakra" Hino said before Garun held his bowl up again. "Refill please"

"Tell him what, that your concerned about his love life?"Hiroshi asked, "I doubt you`d be able to hurt me that much, not only am I stronger than you, but Im also under the Uchiha clans protection. You hurt me, you hurt them."
Henjin sat there quietly listening to them. In a second he stood behind the two.
"Dont be speaking for him kid, he has a voice."Henjin hissed, "From what I saw while following you he needs to watch himself, he could lose her easily if he keeps acting like that."
The man grabbed him another bowl and handed it to him.

"Back off slowly" Hino said poking Henjin in the stomach with the kunai he had. "I am just being friendly and I wouldnt hurt you anyway. It was an empty threat" Hino said as Garun began on his thrid helping.

Henjin flicked the kunai away with ease.
"Dont threaten me kid. You dont know what you`d be getting yourself into."
"Good."Hiroshi said then noticed Mai was looking at them. She quickly glanced away.
