"Never been up there before?"Mai asked pointing, "I go up there when ever I can. It reminds me of my dream. It reminds me that this village will be my responsibility one day."
Her father thought it was a foolish goal, mainly because he doubted they`d ever pick an Uchiha because of their past. Most of the Uchiha clan was seen as a power hungry bunch of folks out for total control. Mai, like Naruto wanted to be respected.

"I`ll show you once we get there."Mai told him with a grin, "So are you looking forward to our new sensei`s training?"
Luckily for them, the Uchiha compound was very close to the Great Stone faces. She looked at the first five faces, then stopped when her eyes reached Naruto. He had the same whisker markings on his cheeks as she did. She met him only once or twice. Mai remembered his dying face and kind voice. She was too young then to understand what was happening though. Before he could answer you could see the blue glow of chakra under her feet. Carefully she put one foot on the mountain and looked up. It would be one heck of a climb. Nothing the future hokage couldnt do. She darted up, but found that it was easier if she climbed more slowly.
"Come on!"

"Im more curios than looking forward to it. I mean with Hojo we worked on what we needed so it might be the same. Then again this guy will probably be abit more aggressive in his training methods" Garun said before his feet glowed and he jumped up so he was next to Mai. "We walking up it or running up it" He asked her

"Lets get as high as we can, then we should slow down so we dont fall off."she said zooming past him and up the mountain. Thats when she felt a strange chakra, probably the most powerful she had ever felt. And each step she took brought her closer and closer it it. Still she wanted to see what was up there, plus the view was awesome. When she got to one of the faces she slowed down and carefully climbed up. A man leaned against the balcony. His hair was shaggy but had that swept back look. The man had a neat pointed goatee on his chin. Both eyes were bright electric blue in color but you couldnt really see the pupils. The man wore a black short kimono, it sort of reminded Mai of Hiroshi`s. An odd stone necklace hung around his neck.
She knew him somehow. Was it the Akatsuki guy that could have killed her? No... the chakra was different, this was stronger. Plus the akatsuki wore a mask. Where was his headband?
Mai thought it might be best to leave him alone for now. She looked over the rail to see if Garun was still coming.

Once Mai darted off Garun gave her a minute before darting off after her. He ignored the strange chakra taking it for being Mai's tailed beast but once he got by Mai he saw the man and realised it must of been his. "Who's that" Garun asked her

"I donno... lets just leave him alone."she whispered to him.
The mans head turned very very slowly and his almost pupil-less eyes stared at them. His face was expressionless for the time being. Mai pretended not to notice him as she looked out at the village.

"Ok" Garun said before staring out at the village. "Its a beautiful view from up here isnt it" Garun said to Mai as birds flew just overhead.

"Mmmhmm, thats why I suggested we come here."
The man had disappeared when other voices started.
"Why are we up here again?"asked a female voice.
"I heard its the best view of the village, plus I saw some kids just scale the mountain... it must be worth it."stated a male voice.
Two Sand genin appeared, both had fiery red hair. The girl had something large attached to her back. The boy had on a sort of cape as he limped up the stairs with his crutches. Mai turned and saw them, they seemed friendly so she didnt bother asking who they were and why they were there.

"With the way he fights, its probably going to be brutal.."Mai groaned, glancing back at the sand genin. The male with the crutches approached them.
"You guys brother and sister?"He asked.
"Dont bother them Yasunari!"Ichigo told her brother.

"No were not." Garun said to the boy. "By the looks of it you too are" Garun added looking at their fiery hair. He then looked down at the guys clutches. "Are you ok. have you seen a medical ninja about your leg" Garun asked him.

"Oh yeah yeah, its fine."Yasunari told them, "The medical ninja finished my surgery yesterday. Im not supposed to do any missions for a few days."
Ichigo stood quietly. Her brother put a hand on her shoulder and grinned.
"Shes my twin sister, but we dont have much in common personality wise."
Mai turned to Garun.
"Hey I have to go, I`ll talk to you later kay?"she gave him a quick hug and pranced off.
(Shes in the topic Unfolding plans. She tried defending Akane and ended up in a genjutsu. Now shes in the hospital. Feel free to join that topic if ya want too ^^ )
