"Hmm, Death Foreseeing Technique by the sound of it. Relatively high level genjutsu technique. Whoever did this wasn't some random rogue ninja; they had to be higher up. I'll contact her father as well as see if we can dig up some research on any known genjutsu-using ninja who might have a motive for this."
With that the medical ninja left the room, leaving Hiroshi and Mai by themselves.

Hiroshi sat there quietly, Mai still lay curled up facing the other way almost shaking. He put a hand gently on her face, she was cold. Carefully he stood up and pulled the blanket over her. He found a chair out in the hall and pulled it in, sitting close to the bed.
Daisuke Uchiha flung the door open and glared at Hiroshi.
"What happened?!"He yelled, it scared Mai.
"Shhhh, shes freaked out... gotta lower your voice."
The uchiha lead Hiroshi into the hallway and questioned him. After the questioning he went back inside and looked at his pathetic daughter.
"I`ve never seen her so helpless..."he said to Hiroshi, "Wheres the medic ninja? isnt there anything he can do?"

"No need to shout sir." The medical ninja said as he reentered the room. Apparently his message had gotten out very quickly as Mai's father had arrived.
"Anyways, this is not something we can just cure sir. She was hit with Death Foreseeing Technique, a high-level genjutsu technique. The most we can do is keep her comfortable around here as she mentally recovers. It'll be up to family and friends to help her with the mental aspects of it. Anyways." The ninja began to leave the room again, "We'll keep you updated on any information regarding her attacker. A squad is already investigating the scene."

"A high level genjutsu? Who would attack a young girl?"The Uchiha asked.
Hiroshi stood there thinking. Mai began to whisper something.
"Huh?"He got closer and listened.
"A...kane..e..."
It hit him then, his mentor spoke of a man that used genjutsu.
"The... akatsuki..."he spoke softly, "They couldnt get in here without somebody seeing them..."

Garun had been jumping around trying to find Mai for 10 minutes now without any luck. As he was getting annoyed he saw some ninja's and they loked like they were investigating. When he landed he asked one of them about it and felt terrible when he got the answer. Running as fast as he could he got to the hospital and ran up to Mai's room. Bursting into the room he saw a medic ninja, Mai's dad and Hiroshi. As he burst in he heard Mai say A...kan...e. "What happened" He asked out loud.

Hiroshi hesitated to say but since he would find out anyways he decided to just tell him.
"She was attacked and who ever it was used a very high level genjutsu on her, she saw herself die..."He said quietly, Daisuke Uchiha looked like he wanted to kill something or someone. He hovered over Mai like a hawk.

"genjutsu.... Well I can't think of anyone who ould know that level of genjutsu" Garun said to Hiroshi. "I mean the person who is most likely a threat is your friend" Garun said to Hirsohi.

"My ... old mentor, the one who taught me lightning jutsu. He told me about a guy that kind of fits this description, he used genjutsu."Hiroshi told Mai`s father, "The same man who killed Naruto.."
Mai straitened herself out and sat up, Hiroshi looked at her hopefully. Her expression was worried.
"So... we arent dead?"she asked

"No you arnt" Garun said to her. He was worried about the damage as he knew alot about the damages that can be done by strong genjutsu. "How are you feeling. Any dissyness or loss of memory" Garun asked her.

Mai stood up nervously and wandered around the room.
"Shes gone ... I.. I didnt do anything to stop them..."she stuttered, tears began to stream down her eyes, "S...she..shes ... gone .."
Hiroshi carefully approached her and hugged her. He had never seen her so freaked out before, and he had seen her cry maybe once.

Garun went to calm her but Hiroshi had gotten there first. I should probably leave them be Garun thought before turning to leave the room.

Hiroshi released her and saw Garun heading out of the room.
"She needs all of the friends she can get right now."Hiroshi told him, "Why dont you stay for awhile and I`ll head out? I`ll grab you guys something to eat. How about that?"

"Yeah, I bet shes hungry."Hiroshi told him, "I`m going to grab some of her favorite ramen at Ichiraku, I`ll get you something too."
Hiroshi told Mai that he would be back in a little while. She sat back down on the bed and stared at Garun.

"Ok" Garun said to Hiroshi. "So are you ok Mai. I swear when I find out who did this I will make sure they pay. You have my promise with that" He said as he walked over to her and put his hand on her shoulder.
