"Not even death could keep me down Hojo sensei, you should know me well enough to know that much." Mai laughed back, "But dont blame me for this, Master Yuuto saved me. I was pretty much toast until he showed up."
Hiroshi seated himself next to Shikaniku and stared casually into the kitchen, he didnt want to interrupt the little reunion going on. He glanced at the Nara, but didnt say anything mainly because he didnt know what to say.
"And as soon as you finish that paperwork, we can do three hundred push ups or something! I need to work on my taijutsu a little bit more, so I have more to work with in a fight."

"Of course Yuuto got involved." Hojo replied as Mai quickly recapped her rescue.
When she mentioned that she wanted to work on her taijutsu, however, the team's reactions revealed a lot about that. Hojo looked as if he had gained a new burst of energy, and there was a twinkle in his eye. Inoko and Shikaniku, in a strange sense of team unity, both mumbled off an "Oh no."
WHAM! The sound of Hojo's hand hitting the table brough the entire restaurant's attention on him.
"Forget the paperwork then Mai. Such trivialities will never stand in the way of me helping a Genin reach their full potential. After ramen we'll head straight out to the training fields and get right to work. Pushups, laps, and much more. It shall be wonderful."
"It'll be troublesome." Was Shikaniku's response, but the only person who would probably hear him would be Hiroshi.
Akane and Momiji sat down in the last remaining seats. Akane was sitting next to the Yamanaka girl, and Momiji was hanging on at the end of the table. The sudden burst of Hojo's energy caused all three to jump.
"But sensei, we just got done with one-hundred pushups!You're not going to make us do more are you?" She politely protested, standing up to show her defiance.
"Actually, I was going to let you two go, but now that I think about it, bringing you two along would be a great idea. Since Mai's old team is filled up, she's going to be needing a new one. And we have an open spot."

Mai couldnt believe that her new team mates wouldnt want to train all day, she loved to train but had yet to face the wrath of Hojo`s real training techniques. Hojo had been her original sensei for a couple of months before Henjin took over. Hopefully training with Hojo wouldnt be as bad as it was with Yuuto, at least he`d pay attention unlike her froggy master.
"Paperwork sucks, might as well get to the fun stuff right? The more training the better, plus I can do twice as much at once now!"
Hiroshi laughed at the Nara`s response, he sure was glad that Hojo wasnt his jounin advisor or he might not have made it this far. Based off of their responses the other two must not have been used to a day of really hard taijutsu training.
"You guys should go with Hojo and Mai, it`d be a great team bonding experience. Thats what Toshiro, Akane, and Momiji are doing right now... but god only knows where Henjin is.."

"Exactly Mai. Glad to see deaht hasn't caused you to lose your energy. And I'm glad to see someone so enthusiastic," He leaned in closer to Mai to make sure the others didn't hear, "These two have some motivation problems. Wimped out after one-hundred pushups with fifty pound weights on their backs."
The Nara, meanwhile, turned his attention to Hiroshi.
"We don't mind hanging out with her. We just don't like her encouraging Mikamoto Sensei. He's troublesome enough as it is. Besides, I'm about to become the only sane man on a team of energetic teenage girls." The Nara shuddered at the thought, and would have laid on the table again if it wasn't for the fact that his ramen finally arrived.
Over on the other side of the bar, Inoko watched as her bowl of steaming, hot ramen arrived. She was about to dig in, but Shika's comment from earlier played back in her mind, and she hesitated.
"Too hot?" Akane asked the girl, wondering why she wasn't eating. She had given her order for ramen, making sure the cook knew who to bill it to, and she had seen the girl's ramen come soon after.
"No, I was just thinking I might go on a diet...Wait, do I know you?" She asked, realizing she didn't even know the girl she was talking to.
"I'm Akane, and what do you mean 'go on a diet'. You're probably the skinniest person here." Akane replied, Momiji nodding in agreement. Inoko looked herself over real quick and, deciding that the girl was right, decided to eat.
"Yeah, you're right. I'm doing good with my diet as it is. No need to look like a skeleton." She said before digging right into her ramen. Still, she did pick out some bits and pieces of food, just in case.

Mai tapped her fingers on the table when she saw the ramen come. She practically drooled over it for awhile, if she was going to do some intense taijutsu training then she better get something to eat or else she`d run out of fuel pretty fast. Mai flagged down the server and ordered herself a bowl of ramen.
Toshiro appeared next to Akane and carefully looked around her at all of the other people there. He didnt like the large crowed, but he said he`d pay for the ramen so he had to stay. His bright purple ringed eyes stared at Inoko when she complained about Shikaniku. His only response was an exaggerated blink of the eyes before he quietly ordered some ramen as well.
"Did you already order Akane?" He asked her quietly.

"Yep, and I already told the cook you'd be paying." She said, a small laugh coming out afterwards.
"Anyway, looks like Mai just joined up with this Hojo guy's team. Couldn't keep her mouth shut as usual. Why don't you," she looked at the bar, and found that there was no room left for him," I guess we'll have to get a table. Momiji, you going to come with us?" She asked.
"Nah, I want to stay behind and watch this. These guys are pretty entertaining to watch." He replied, eyes easily being traced towards Inoko and the rest of her team. Akane just grumbled, grabbing his jacket and draggin him to a table.

Toshiro smiled at the response and nodded his head. He followed her to the table as she dragged Momiji to a table with wide eyes, glad that that wasnt him. He seated himself and waited for the other two to join him.
Mai could hardly sit still, excited that she would be able to do something for once. Yuuto was still in his little toad land with Shima and Fukasaku, and probably wouldnt come back for awhile.
"So how many pushups and other things will we be doing? I dont expect Inoko and Shikaniku to do anything since they`ve already trained today. I`m dying to do something, all we`ve been doing is relaxing at the hot springs."

Akane and Momiji joined Toshiro at the table, though Momiji showed he had done so at a great reluctance. He sat on one side while Akane sat on the same side as Toshiro. Of course now she was being quiet because she wasn't so sure what else to say.
"So then, what should we do after lunch. Mai looks as if she's going to be busy. Maybe we could go off and train for a little bit? There have been some techniques I've been wanting to learn..."

"Ah, the two of them will be fine. They could use a good workout anyways. But I'll be nice and not force too much on them. Twenty five pounds should give them a break."
Shikaniku and Inoko glared angrily at Mai. Before she showed up they were going to enjoy a nice lunch and then relax the rest of the day. Now she arrives, and Hojo was all worked up and ready to get back to work. They didn't hate her personally, though since it seemed she knew him they did give her blame. She should have known he would act like that. Still, there wasn't much they could do, and even Shikaniku didn't complain all the time.
"So then Mai, who's your other friends?" Inoko asked, pointing over at Toshiro and Momiji. She had noticed that Mai had quite a bit of guys following her around, and a small spark of jealousy jumped in her heart.
Shikaniku wished he could have been in the hot springs right now, but instead he'd have to look forward to more training. Getting a gulp of ramen down, he decided to waste some energy and try and make chit-chat with this Hiroshi fellow.
"So then, anything about Mai I should be warned about?Inoko is a bit touchy about her weight and looks, and I want to make sure I don't have to deal with two model wannabes."

"If we can find Henjin sensei I bet he`d give us something to do,"[/b] Toshiro told them when the topic of training came up. As much as relaxing sounded fun, they wouldnt become any stronger if they just sat around all day. Toshiro was interested in seeing Momiji`s techniques.

Mai glanced back at Toshiro, Momoji, and then to Hiroshi. The only girl that hung out with her was Akane, the rest were guys.
"Oh them? They`re my friends, I just met Momiji today though. Toshiro and Hiroshi live in the Uchiha compound with my father and I." Mai told her. Daisuke soon showed up, he was looking for Hojo when he heard that his team had an opening. He wanted to get his daughter into the spot as soon as possible and he`d deal with the council later. Daisuke was a bit surprised to see Mai out and about, but it saved him the trouble of explaining everything.
"I see that Mai found you already, saves me a lot of trouble. Do you still have that opening in your team?"
Hiroshi went through the list of Mai`s most extreme problems, and decided to leave out the nine tailed fox part so she could tell them when the time came.
"Well... shes pretty much like this all of the time, bouncing off the walls hyper. Umm.. shes got a nasty temper, but she could care less about her appearance.. but she does take good care of herself. What else, what else... oh, dont make fun of her clan or family because she`ll literally rip your head off." Hiroshi told Shikaniku quietly.

Inoko smiled, but deep in her mind she was imagining beating up Mai. Three relatively cute guys followed her around, and two of them lived in the same house as her. That just wasn't fair. She'd have to rectify that situation by hanging out with Mai a bit more often. Till then...
"So then, I guess as a Uchiha you have a Sharingan?"
Hojo had just finished scarfing down his ramen when Daisuske arrived, asking about the open position on his team. He already knew just what the guy was asking about, and decided to give it to him straight.
"Nope, sorry, it's been filled. Mai's ghost here decided she couldn't stay away from me and wants to join the team." He said with a bit of a hearty laugh.
Over with Shikaniku, he listened closely as Hiroshi listed off the list of things that set Mai off. It was mostly the same stuff that Inoko had, minus the looks thing. About the only new thing was her being sensitive about her clan. Understandable since Uchihas were still a bit blacklisted in the village, though he truly didn't care. He finished his ramen, setting the bowl down before he replied.
"Okay then, got it," he sighed, "Sometimes it might just be better if I took a vow of silence. Then again, Inoko would probably beat me for looking at her and thinking she..." He stopped right there, nervously looking to see if she was paying attention. She wasn't, but he didn't finish it. If the a sentence involved Inoko and weight, she'd hear it no matter what.

Mai listened to Inoko talk to her for a moment before hearing something about the sharingan. She could show off and ruin any future surprises of seeing the sharingan, or she could hold off and wait for a better occasion. After weighing the options for half a second she decided to keep her mouth shut, but Mai nodded her head to respond.
Daisuke laughed along with Hojo, even though it was generally a stupid joke. But he figured that it was better than what he could have said, Daisuke looked back at Mai then to Hojo.
"I`ve never seen a ghost with so much energy."
Hiroshi shrugged and looked towards the other, more lively conversations. Toshiro, Momoji, and Akane were pretty much not talking anymore, Daisuke and Hojo were probably having an awkward conversation, and Mai was most likely showing off.
"Ehh, just dont piss Mai off. Shes pretty easy to forgive though, so if you make here a tad bit cranky she wont rip your head off or snap your neck." He replied, "If you keep silent when ever your around them will only make them wonder, then they`ll poke and torment you anymore wondering why you dont talk anymore. Its a terrible terrible cycle I tell you. Your never safe."

She slowly started eating it, but it wasn't in the sloppy manner of Mai's. She was more deliberate, and she wouldn't be getting in her hair anytime soon.

Hojo could tell Daisuske didn't think the joke funny, but he just let it slide off his back.
"All jokes aside, Mai is probably going to be handful. With Chuunin Exams coming up soon, she'll be bursting with energy. Hopefully I can tune that towards taijutsu training like she wants. I had a technique I wanted to try out anyways. Still," he looked over at Inoko and Shikaniku,"it'll be interesting to see how she deals with those two."
Inoko was at a bit of a lost on how to respond to Mai. She was used to people speaking back, not just simple head movements. Still, she now knew Mai had a Sharingan, and that would be something fun to watch. Still, the quiet wasn't something she was used to, so she moved onto another topic.
"So then, your friends any interesting? That Hiroshi looks kind of cute, she said, giving Hiroshi a quick glance, a glance spotted by Shikaniku.
"Heads up. I think Inoko is looking you over. She's a bit of a flirt, so if you got a girlfriend or anything I'd keep your distance. When she's competing over a guy, she can get pretty nasty. Once used her Mind-Body technique to take over a girl's body and gave her a nasty-looking makeover."

Mai kept looking around the building, any person could tell that she was becoming more and more bored every moment. She crossed her arms and looked at Inoko, wondering why she didnt say anything further about the sharingan.
"I`d show you, but it would be a waste of chakra if I couldnt use it in a fight or something." She finally replied, Mai noticed Hiroshi glance back at her and Inoko, "Oh Hiroshi? I`ve known him since I was born, but Toshiro is still kinda a big mystery to me. I feel like I know him, but sometimes he acts so strange like a puppy thats been kicked."
Daisuke nodded his head and began to head out the door. But he paused, went back, then replied to Hojo.
"Well dont be too rough on her, her left leg still isnt in the best condition since the Sunagakure accident. She might act like it doesnt hurt, but I see her limping around the house occasionally."

"Hmm, in that case we shouldn't do anything that involves kicking...which removes a good chunk of the techniques. But don't worry, it's not like I'll be teaching her to open up the Eight Gates or anything. Just some basic taijutsu. Besides, I also wanted to give her a chance to see what her two teammates could do." Hojo replied.
Inoko looked over at Toshiro for a second. He didn't look that bad either, but he seemed way to quiet for her taste. Still, Mai was lucky to be surrounded by all these guys. Before she said anything, however, she heard Hojo mention training. Seeing as her and Shikaniku were done eating, they would probably be leaving soon.
Her guess proved right as Hojo stood up. He handed the owner the money to pay the check, and then turned toward his team.
"Alright you three let's head out. It's time to get down into some serious combat training. We'll be seeing you all later." He added the last part to address Akane and the others.

"Well Toshiro, I think we should take their lead and head out." Akane replied as she watched Hojo and his team start to leave.

Mai looked back at Daisuke for a moment then back to Inoko. She put her hands together and cracked her knuckles, it had been about a month since she had had a serious training session and she wasnt about to let her team mates down by seeming weak. It looked as if she would have to be the defense of the team, seeing that the other two lacked the motivation to do much. The Nara kid, if he was anything like his family, had a brain so she wouldnt have to worry about good plans. Mai didnt know how Inoko could help up, but her abilities were sure to show soon... hopefully...
"Just because I`m training doesnt mean you have to make them too. They can just relax on the side and watch or something." Mai mentioned as she got to her feet. Hiroshi got up and decided that he was going to head home, he didnt want to barge in on their team bonding... though that didnt stop him from going to Toshiro, Momoji, and Akane`s meeting.
