In the Land of Water (Max)

Tamaki let out a roar as he charged ahead, Suoh quickly leapt behind him and flew to his side. The two stopped to remember what they had been told. Rumor had it that the Uchiha containing the Kyuubi destroyed the village of Suna. It would make their trip just that much more interesting. Suoh just hoped that they didnt run into any trouble along the way.

"Come on... lets keep moving."Suoh told his faithful feline friend, the giant cat nodded and his mane fell in his face. Suoh chuckled and the lion growled, "Come on sour puss."

Johan was walking home from the Sand Village, his mind still thinking over the events of what happened in the village. It wasnt long till he saw that company was approaching him, he couldnt make out anything from where he was at the minute, and rushed ahead to catch sight of the 'group'. As he got closer, he slowed to a walking pace and watched the two intently. His best guesses would be the Inuzuka clan or the Aburame, as they both had animals of a sort with them, but that couldnt be it, this guy was with a cat, not a dog nor insects. "who are you?" he asked, it sounded abrupt even in his own head, but it was the best thing he could do with someone he didnt know.

The giant lion circled Johan several times, sniffing him over and over making sure he was safe. When Tamaki sat down and his tail flopped back and forth the man smiled.

"Tamaki`s stamp of approval never fails. Good boy." Suoh went to him and began to stroke his big fluffy mane, there was no need to bend down to pet the large cat though, considering the lion was just a few heads shorter than he was. Tamaki purred, "Oh, Im Prince Suoh of the Hotaka clan. Whats your name kiddo?"

Suoh was tall and muscular, he wore a navy blue headband with the waterfall symbol on it. He had a fairly thick beard bordering his face (kind of like asuma).

"Johan" Johan told the man a prince... dont see many of them wandering around Johan thought as he surveyed the man, now that he was closer, Johan could see the man's headband clearly... the arrow etched on the headband showed the man hailed from the waterfall village.

"So i suppose the Hotaka clan is where you pair up with a lion?" he asked the man (he doesnt know about the eye thing though, he just thinks its similar to the Inuzuka clan)

"Johan? Well its a pleasure to meet you." Suoh bowed his head but never looked strait at him, then looked in Tamaki`s direction. Suoh chuckled, "Well, somewhat. I met him when we were both much much younger. My grandfather was the founder of the clan, he was the original one to use a feline."

Suoh bit one of his fingers, Tamaki tensed.
"Give me a moment, I cant see you." He dropped a few drops of blood in each eye, both of them turned blood red. "ah, just as i thought, Your a light blue."

"eh" Johan uttered in surprise, as he watched the man drip blood in his eyes, so i guess thats a kekkai genkai he watched, he hadnt noticed before but he realised now that the man had been blind, and dripping blood into his eye allowed him to see again... but was that all it could do?
"So the cat thing is a family tradition or something" he asked as he pondered over the last statement, but decided not to say anything, figuring out it was probably to do with his hair colour or where he was from.

Temaki looked up at Suoh then back to Johan.

"You smell like death, did you just kill somebody?"asked the large lion like cat. Suoh grinned, and wondered how Johan would respond to a talking cat.

"im guessing thats due to where I was just came from" Johan told the cat, he was a bit wierded out by the fact it could talk, but was hiding that fact from his face. "I just came from Sunagakure, with the chuunin tournament" Johan told the both of them, he then waited to see if the man pursued the topic further, no point telling him about the explosion incident if he wasnt bothered about it.

"Ah, no wonder. I heard that the Uchiha girl died, tragic accident." Suoh stated as he looked to Tamaki (Whose name i`ve been spelling wrong.) The large cat nodded, knowing with his masters facial expression meant. Dont persue the topic.

"SO where are you headed?"

Johan nodded at his first statement, it wasnt surprising that information of a village bombing had spread far and wide, but it was strange that instead of mentioning the village, he had referenced the dead girl instead, she musta been pretty famous or important... or both.

"im heading back to the Mist village" Johan told the two of them, "what about you two, where are you guys going?" he asked them.

"Im go nowhere in particular, Tamaki and I decided in order to better ourselves as men we have to go out on some sort of character building experience." Suoh grinned, Tamkai nodded.

It had been nearly a month since the explosions in Suna, in most villages it was old news because it had nothing to do with the other villages. Secondly the LEaf village got rid of a huge problem they would have had to face in the future.

"right" Johan said, they were certainly an odd couple, plus the fact that Suoh was staring at him with blood red eyes, but it was oe of the those things that you had to deal with.

"So you have no idea where you're going?" Johan asked tentatively, before grinning "thats a little bit risky, dont you think?" he told them, he had never traveled anywhere without knowing where he was going, so picking a direction and walking in it seemed quite foolhardy, especially for a blind man and lion, but he guessed that simply showed that he and Suoh just led to different lifestyles.

"Risky? ha, not at all. Just because I am somewhat blind doesnt mean Im weak you know." Suoh chuckled, he could clearly see Johan now although there was a large trail of blurry light blue light following the mist ninja. "I dont need a direction, I believe that I`ll find what I seek if i am not looking for it. Sometimes the best things in life are the things you arent expecting."

"Im always by Master Suoh`s side, I am his eyes when he doesnt have his blood line activated." The lion told him.

"right" Johan said, he still wasnt convinced on the ninjas way of thinking but he couldnt fault his sense of adventure. "oh and dont worry, im the last person to judge someone on something like being blind" Johan smiled before looking at him, "so how exactly can you see anyway, i've never tried it but im sure getting blood in the eye is just getting rain in the eye, but worse" he asked. After all, as the old saying goes, Blood is thicker than water.

Suoh couldnt remember why the blood effected his eyes and made him able to see, but he knew the basis of how it worked.

"Well, the blood adds color pigment to my eyes." The prince told him, "Then, I believe, the blood seeps down into the eye and reaches a central connection with the main nerve. The pigment adds the effect as if I have some color to my eye, but in all reality the color is just an effect so it doesnt nessisarily have to be there."
