Character Description:
As a girl who is endlessly obsessed with her looks, Ino makes sure to keep herself in great shape through dieting and exercise. She’s thin and lightly built, weighing in at around 84 pounds. As a lightweight she isn’t particularly strong, but she makes up for it in being very flexible and acrobatic. Her skin is a very light, whitish color and is paired up with a light blue eye color. Her hair is long, reached down to her waist, and is a light blonde color. A majority of it is kept tied back up in a ponytail, but there is a long strand of bangs that covers up the right side of her face many times. As for her height, she scales in at about 4 feet and 11 inches tall.
Always concerned about looking good, Ino enjoys wearing clothes that give her a chance to ‘flaunt it.’ Purple is the dominate color of clothing as both her shirt and skirt are in that color. The shirt is sleeveless, and reaches down to just a little bit above her midriff. It has a fancied up color with a triangular patch coming down, which is adorned with three rings that seem to have no use at all. Her skirt reaches down to below her calves, splitting at the sides as well. Her headband is used as a belt, and is of course purple in color. Hr arms are adorned with cloth arm wear that is white in color (except the endings, which are purple).
An unusual aspect of her looks is the bandages that adorn her. They cover up the top of her legs as well as her midriff. It can be assumed that they are all part of one major that covers the entire center of her body. Other accessories include the already mentioned arm wear and ponytail. Finally, she wears a pair of the standard shinobi shoes, which are black in color.
Character Personality:
Ino considers herself the most popular and beautiful kunoichi of her age and class. She is constantly working and worrying about improving her appearance. Dieting and exercise are always on her mind, and she grew her hair long just because she had heard that her crush Sasuke Uchiha liked longhaired girls. All of this makes Ino rather superficial, and she’s not afraid to poke fun at other people’s appearances because of it. It also makes Ino a bit boy crazy (which also why she is so worried about her looks), with, as mentioned, Sasuke Uchiha being the center of attention.
In dealing with her team, and many others, Ino is rather bossy. She is quick to take charge and make others follow her orders and wants. When she doesn’t get her way she can get downright mean or erupt into a bit of a tantrum. A large reason for her bossiness comes from her being a rather confident girl as well as being outspoken. She isn’t one who backs down easily, and can get rather scrappy when pushed. However, she isn’t completely heartless, and does care about her team and others. It’s just not that noticeable most of the time.
One person who Ino has a rather interesting relationship, and about the only one that can get rather violent, is that with Sakura Haruno. In the past the two of the used to be friends, but when they found out the other liked Sasuke Uchiha they broke it up. Now when they are together, they call each other names and insult the other. The two of them are locked in a constant competition with each other over the boy.
Character History:
Ino was born a member of the Yamanaka clan from Konoha. The clan itself is famous for its techniques involving the manipulation of the minds of opponents. Her father Inoichi was once part of the famous Ino-Shika-Cho trio of the previous generation of ninja. He is also the operator of the Yamanaka Flower Shop, where Ino would routinely help in. This gave her an extensive knowledge of flowers, a trait that would later on be of help for her, surprisingly. Not much else happened in the early years of her life. It wasn’t until she followed her fathers steps and joined the Academy that her life began to unfold.
At the academy her and the other girls were trained to use their feminine traits to go undercover, alongside their regular ninja training. Ino noticed that one of the other girls was constantly being picked on about her forehead. The girl was named Sakura Haruno, and one day Ino stepped in to stand up for the girl. She used her knowledge of flowers to scare the bullies away with ‘poisonous flowers’. Afterwards she gave Sakura a ribbon in order to draw attention away from her forehead. Soon the two of them became very close friends.
Eventually, however, the friendship fell apart. Both of them began to develop affection for Sasuke Uchiha, with Ino feeling she was the only one good enough for him. Sakura felt the same way, and eventually the two of them broke off their friendship because of it. Afterwards Ino (and Sakura) began to grow out her hair, hearing that the Uchiha boy liked longhaired girls. Her broken friendship with Sakura lead to a petty squabbling and rivalry. Whenever they were around each other they would insult the other and call each other names. Ino would particularly nag Sakura about her forehead, knowing from the past that it greatly bothered her.
Outside of her rivalship with Sakura, Ino did very well in the Academy. She had the second best grades among the students, with Sakura being number one, a fact that infuriates Ino. Upon graduation, she was devastated to hear Sakura was placed on a team with Sasuke. Even more devastated, she was placed on a team with Shikamaru Nara and Choji Akimich. She thought the first one a lazy good for nothing, and the other one fat and food obsessed. Her domineering attitude quickly made her the ‘boss’ of the team, or at least she thinks she is the boss. The two guys have yet to disagree with her position though. Though she acts rather brash and rude around them, Ino care for them. She just shows it in a rather unusual way.

Chakra Hair Trap Technique:
After cutting her hair, Ino infuses the hair strands with her chakra to trap anyone that steps on them. Once immobilized, they are an easy target for her Mind Body Switch Technique.
Mind Body Switch Technique”
This technique allows the user to enter the mind of another person or even an animal.[2] The user transfers their consciousness to the opponent, giving them complete control of the body for a short period of time. Their original body is left defenseless while this jutsu is active, leaving it susceptible to attack until they return. The mind transfer is slow-moving, moves in a straight direction, and takes some time to return to the user's body if it misses. Because of these reasons it should only be used on immobilized targets. Similarly, if the opponent's will is strong enough, they can force the user from their body, as Sakura Haruno does to Ino Yamanaka.
