The journey from the North Pole to the Northern Air Temple was a short one. Flying around the temple to look for a landing spot, Ishimaru pulled on the reigns to let Shogun to know to head down. It took a minute, but eventually they succeeded in landing. Jumping off onto the snow-covered ground, he looked up at the Avatar.
"Need any help getting down Avatar?"
He was glad that this was just a night stop. Ishimaru didn't really like this place, as he thought all the mechanical inventions around the temple ruined the natural beauty of the mountain top. Still, the monks and others living here enjoyed them, so there wasn't anything he could do about it.

"I think I got it ..."she stated as she carefully prepared herself to jump off. Makoto just slid down Shogun`s tail.
The avatar jumpped off and landed on the ground, the penguin joined her. Avani had pretty much been in aw right when they first set their sites on the temple.
"Are all the temples as beautiful as this one?"

"In my opinion, this is the least beautiful of all the temples. I personally hate all the machinery in this place. Ruins the beauty that nature once gave this place. Anyways, we should probably head in and see if we can find some rooms to stay in for the night. We'll head for the Southern One in the morning."
As he started heading inside the temple, Ishimaru realized that he had forgotten something. He turned around to face the Avatar, and bowed again.
"I just realized that I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Kazuma Ishimaru, from the Southern Air Temple."

"You shouldnt let a little machinery ruin the beauty of this place, Kazuma Ishimaru."
She noticed his bow, respectful but it made her feel weird.
"I`m Nyoka Avani, and I`m from the Northern Water Tribe."

"Well, glad to meet you Avani,and I didn't say the temple wasn't beautiful. I just said I think that it would be even more beautiful without it. Anyways, thats not important right now. What is important is that we find one of the other monks and see if there are any rooms avaible. I'm also sure that you'll probably want something to eat."
The two of them had entered the main lobby of the temple. Pipes and machinery covered the place, occasionally let out the burst of steam. Several monks of varying ages were bustling through, and a few people dressed in Earth Kingdom clothing were repairing the temple.
"I believe I forgot to mention that during the last war refugees from the Earth Kingdom had moved into this temple. They were the ones who had built the machines, and their descendants live here to this day."

The young avatar followed him, nodding occasionall. Makoto waddled behind her, jumping when ever steam burst out. Avani giggled and joined the monk. She didnt say anything, just walked and followed.

Ishimaru glanced over his shoulder whenever he the penguin jumped in surprise. Eventually he found the head monk of the temple, who directed them to where they could stay the night.
"Alright then Avani, apparently there are two rooms avaible for us. There down this hallway, about half way down. Mine is one the left, yours is on the right. If your hungry, they should be having dinner pretty soon. Just follow everyone else and you should be fine."
Opening the simple wooden door, Ishimaru found that his room was a very simple one. Their was a wooden loft with some straw for bedding. Their was also a blanket and a small wooden table. He knew that Avani, being the Avatar, probably got a more decent room, but he could live with this one.

Avani went into her room, she took off her long outer layer. She flopped it over a chair in the room. Makoto made himself comfortable on the bed. As soon as she was ready, and Makoto was asleep, she headed for the door and went outside to explore.

Ishimaru was staying in his room, meditating. He was attempting to think of a new Airbending technique, the last thing he needed to do before he could be declared a master Airbender and recieve the tattoos that go with it. In the background he could hear the masses of people heading to dinner. Personally, he was going to skip it. His mind was to busy with other thoughts.

Avani followed some of the other monks around, acting as their shadow. She followed one of them to dinner.

The monk that Avani was following turned around and smiled.
"Welcome Avatar Avani. Ishimaru already told us you were here. I assume your heading to dinner? Its not much really, just some fruits and such. Nothing like you'll find at the North Pole. Hope you enjoy your meal."
In the mess hall people were gathering around and chatting with friends, with the war between the Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom being the main topic. Everyone talking about how it was a mess, the casualties, that the Water Tribes might get dragged in, and other rumors that appear during wartime.
((Eh,writers block. Set up a scene in case you want an NPC to explain the war to Avani.))

"I`m sure it`ll be fantastic."Avani smiled and headed into the mess hall.
She felt a few eyes drift to her, it didnt bother her though. She just held onto her smile as she sat down next to a monk.
"hello."she stated with a bright smile and a quick wave of her right hand,"I`m Avani, whats your name?"

The monk, who was one of the more elderly monks, looked down at the young girl. It took a second,but he realized that this was the one that everyone was saying was the Avatar.
"Oh, I didn't expect to be talking to the Avatar today.What a nice surprise. My name is Gyoto*."
Nearby the two of them were some of the Earth Kingdom descendents,and they were talking about family members in the war. Gyoto just shook his head, a sad look on his face.
"Tis a terrible time for such a young girl to have to be the Avatar. The war between the Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom seems to be taking a toll on even those not involved. It might even be worse than the one that Avatar Aang had to stop."

When Avani heard Gyoto`s last words, it freaked her out a bit. She was just hoping to learn the elements and peacfully talk to the Earth and Fire, trying to stop the war. But if it was worse than what Avatar Aang had to do, she truely didnt know if she could do it...
"Once I learn the elements I`ll get all of this nonsense to stop."said the young Avatar,"Even if it is worse than what Avatar Aang had to face, i`ll do what ever it takes.."

The monk smiled, glad that the new Avatar had such determined spirit. Still, it would be a long ways before peace could be brought, and then there was the difficulty of keeping it.
"Well, its a good thing that you have, pardon the pun, so much fire in you. I'm sure you'll do well as the Avatar."
((Eh,we need to get more characters into this RP.Have any ideas?))
