"Whether you were a military dog or not doesnt affect your skill. I wouldnt fight you even if you were a citizen all your life because I have seen strong Alchemists who arnt part of the military" He said to her.

Mikhail stepped out of the carriage he had rode in during his trip from Central to the town of Risembool. It had been a relatively uneventful trip, and the ride had made his leg act up again from sitting for so long. He always hated carriage travel, and so he rarely made the effort. Recent reports about events concerning this area, however, made him interested in visiting the town. It wasn't every day that some kids attempt human transmutation, though he knew they had left the place already. Still, he could possibly get some information on what had occured.
Looking down the dirt road that went through the town he spotted two other people, both relatively young. They looked familiar to him, however, as he swore they were both involved in the military at one point or another. Then again there was a chance they weren't.
"Excuse me you two, are you from around here?"

Alex turned to face the new comer, she kept her hands in her pockets. Another military guy, ughh they were everywhere! She fiddled with the watch in her pocket as she waited for this man to join their little party.
"Does it look like Im from around here sir?"she asked him, thinking it was pretty obvious that she wasnt. "He is, Im not."

"As my friend said I am from around here though I havent been here for awhile. Why do you ask" He asked the man. The next question he was going to ask was whether this guy was an alchemist or not though looking at his clothes he probably was.

Friend? Blah, they barely knew one another. They had just met like five maybe six minutes ago. Either he trusted people easily or he thought he already had her figured out. It would have been smart for her to just stay on the train and skip to the next town, but no she wanted to get off and walk. There probably wouldnt be another train for at least a day, she was stuck.
Alex kept her hands in her pockets and looked at the new comer with her nose up, her head tilted to the side so she could sort of give him a side glance. With her left hand she pushed her glasses back because they slid down a bit.

Only one of them was from around here, but that was all he needed anyways. Seeing as he could ignore the girl (besides, he was annoyed by her snobbish attitude), he turned his attention to the boy.
"I heard rumors in the military concerning the Elric Brothers and decided I would take a look into it. Something about human transmutation or something. Happen to know where their house is?"
By this point Mikhail was leaning on his cane a bit, slightly bored out of his mind. He didn't like asking for directions, but he never visited this place so it was a required thing sadly.

"Well I know where their house was. They burnt it down once they left" Adrian told him. "It was a pretty nice house but once they lost their mum and then their bodies i suppose it just wasnt worth it anymore. Too many bad memories" Adiran said to the man

"So they burnt it down did they? Hmm, pity. Seems I came all the way here for nothing then. Ah well, the military is paying for it at least. Maybe I'll see if theres an inn around here, spend the night, and order a big old meal. Either of you two interested?"
Mikhail always enjoyed messing with the military with small things like that. He didn't really care if these two wanted to come or not, but if they did come they could easily help him raise the tab a bit. And of course if anyone asked about it at the office he would say it was a way of getting some witnesses to talk, or something like that.

Alex shrugged, her mood lightening a bit when she heard about the food. Maybe this guy wasnt so bad after all, or maybe he offered because he wanted to know something. Either way he couldnt make her say a thing.
"Food?"she asked with a grin, "Heh, I`m in, something to eat sounds great."
