(ほたか ho- taw- kaw Meaning: Step by Step)
Clan Description:
Members of the Hotaka clan are usually between five feet four inches and six feet tall. The males in the clan tend to be quite muscular but not abnormally muscular. Their hair often varies depending on which branch of the clan they are in. If they are in the main royal like branch they tend to have jet black spikey hair. Members of the Middle branch have silver hair, and members of the lower branch have brown hair. Only a small handful of the Hotaka clan members have clear see through eyes. Both eyes are glass like, you can see the veins in their eyes however there are light pupils. The clan members generally keep their finger nails sharp like little daggers for no particular reason.
Most of the time members of the Hotaka dont wear any particular set of clothes to be idenified by. However they do have traditional clothing. Males wear sleeveless shirts, much like a vest. The neck is a deep V neck so most of the time their chests are exposed. Their pants are usually a little longer than knee length, they wear tighter pants like leggings underneath. (Ex: The Akatsuki pants) A belt usually is tied around their waists. Females generally wear the same type of pants, however their shirts are long sleeved and do not have the V neck. On their clothes whether its a male or female all of the members have a special logo somewhere on them. Most have it on the back of their shirts. This logo is a chinese tiger swirled up to fit in a ball. The tiger is pretty much just black or white depending on the color of the shirt, but it always has red eyes.

In legend the Hotaka clan was formed around a hundred of year ago by Raiden Hotaka. He was said to be a fearless ninja, slicing the heads off of each person that betrayed him or got in his way. He had a faithful compainion always by his side, Katsuo, a huge sabertooth tiger. Most ninja feared him because of his reputation of being undefeatable in battle. Raiden witnessed the great battle between Madara Uchiha and the First Hokage. The thoughts often swarmed in his mind what if he took over this newly formed Leaf village? When he wished to challenge them the fight was over and he decided to back off for awhile. While out on an assasination mission he was ambushed by several ninja at once, he and Katsuo fought them off one by one, but one of them bashed him in the back of the head. When he woke up he found that he couldnt see. For the first time in his life he was afraid. A woman about his age found him and took the blind man home.
It took him many years that he spent hours and hours finding a way to bring back his sight. It was by mistake, he sliced his finger on a kunai. Raiden lifted his hand in the air and opened his eyes, the drops of blood fell in giving his eyes a bright red color. To his surprise he could see again, the world was so bright. He was so happy to get his vision back that he asked Ayame, the girl that found him many years ago, to marry him. They got married and soon had children. That was the real start of the clan. In later experiments Raiden decided to see what sort of powers, if any, that these eyes of his had. He spent the remainder of his life figuring it out.
His son carried out plans to figure out how their eyes worked. He soon discovered that with each different mode of their eyes had its own advantages and disadvantages. Still to this day the only member of the Hotaka clan to use a battle compainion cat is Raiden, because he never intended on full usage of the beasts. Eventually members of Raidens original clan branched off into different villages. His great grandsons parents went to the Star village. Raiden`s great grandson wasnt as fortunate as other members of the royal branch, he did not have the Masahiko Tsuyoshi. The boys parents decided to branch off after his mother married a ninja from Star, and soon moved there. He began his training and killed a fellow student. The ninja soon began to lose his mind and slipped into madness. He betrayed his family and murdered each of them slowly. Story has it that he killed himself soon after. Thats about the time the Hotaka clan seemed to vanish into thin air.

Description:
Only a small handful of the Hotaka clan members have clear see through eyes. Both eyes are glass like, you can see the veins in their eyes however there are light pupils. In order to work the Masahiko the user must use a few drops of their blood and drip them into their eyes. This turns the whole eye blood red and it appears as if they have no pupils, up close you can see the faint black pupils though.
When unactivated the Masahiko seems to be worthless since the user remains blind, however the senses of the user (hearing, touch, etc) are at their peak, depending on the skill of the ninja user. Also depending on the skill of the ninja is if they cant fight blind or not, when the ninja is first starting out it is wise to avoid fighting without the vision. While activated the user sees in black and white, however when a living creature moves in their range of vision that target emits a particular aura color. This color follows the target everywhere they go, becoming much easier to spot. This works through smoke or mist, however it can not see through solid objects such as walls and trees, but the aura trail sort of gives away there position unless they have been there for awhile.
Other Notes:
- Members of the Hotaka clan tend to use various types of jutsu so they dont just all use the same element.
(The Masahiko is subject to very slight changes as new things are discovered about it. Jutsu may be added later, im lacking creativity right now so I cant think of anything good)
