Name: Guiscard Vulpes
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Race: Mobian
Description:
Personality: Guiscard has an adventurous soul, never wanting to stay in one place for too long. He enjoys the thrill of discovery, and the action that is bound to run into during an expedition. Usually he is a pretty self-confident person, often to a point of total cockiness. Many times he overestimates his own abilities, and usually spends a lot of time just simply goofing off and joking around. When he isn’t doing that, he is usually on some big ‘treasure hunt’, though this rarely turns into anything important.
An interesting twist, however, is that Guiscard does have some ability to learn and study. He is well-versed in history and myth, two areas of knowledge heavily important in an adventurer. Areas such as the Mystic Ruins fascinate him as their mysteriousness sets the stage for the ultimate kind of adventure; the unearthing of ancient secrets. And unlike many other people with a bit of an ego, Guiscard can learn from his mistakes.
History:
From an early age Guiscard was an explorer. He was found constantly outside after escaping just about any system of confinement his parents could use. Eventually they just gave up, and so, with a careful eye, they let him roam the neighborhood. As he grew older, however, he found himself bored with just simply exploring the small town he was born in, and so he started to plot to runaway. He was caught of course, but his parent’s blew it off as something all children go through.
For a time Guiscard found himself content to stay where he was, but with most of the town explored he turned to reading to ease his adventurous itch. He consumed book after book on subjects ranging from history to mythology. Sadly, the stories of far off places, ancient lands, magical beings, and other fantastical things only increased his urge to roam. By now he felt he was old enough to survive on his own, and so once again he plotted to run off. This time he succeeded, and he was soon quickly bound for the city of Station Square.
Arriving in the big city, he soon found that the romantic dreams he had fueled with his books were just that; dreams. While the city was obviously more interesting than a small town, it didn’t have the hardened criminals, revenge-seeking mobsters, corrupt cops, beautiful damsels in distress (the only ones he found tended to be very well protected) or any of the other stuff he had hoped would make life more exciting. Still, it was better than the town he had left, but he lacked a source of income.
Around that time he heard stories of someone named Rouge the Bat, a master treasure hunter. Her fabled skills gave Guiscard an idea; he would open up his own treasure hunting business. While he wouldn’t be as experienced as this Rouge, he would be much cheaper. For the first few months he had to work in back alleys and such, but eventually he gained enough money to afford a small apartment that doubled as an office. With a comfortable life and a job that served to ease his itch for adventure, Guiscard was content.
Abilities:
-Highly knowledgeable in history, myth, and related topics.
-Moderate technology skills
-Moderate stealth skills
