Name: Lighting Dragon Tornado
Element: Lighting
Chakra: 50
Rank: Jounin
Description: The ninja will raise their arms into the air and draw lightning down upon his body. The current will be contained within and around their form. They will then begin to spin in place forming a whirling vortex of wind and electricity. The vortex will take on the form of a dragon’s head and will cover the area in front of him. It will then strike out against his opponent and painfully trap them in the vortex. Even if the attack doesn't directly connect with his foe, the lightning can jump from the vortex to hit a nearby target.

After the exams Mai took every chance she could to show off her new chuunin vest. She wore it over her coat for the most part nowadays and strutted around Konoha like she was the queen of the world. The Uchiha couldnt have been more proud of herself, Sasuke even expressed that he was proud of her too which only increased her pride. But being a chuunin meant that her old genin team wouldnt be the only one she would be working with, the council could throw her onto any team if they thought her skills would be useful for a mission.
And knowing that made her want to get a few new techniques under her belt while she still could. Who knew when she might have to go out on a new mission. The previous night her father had given her a lightning based ninjutsu scroll in which he told her to study along with another scroll that he had personally made up for future Uchiha generations. But oddly enough it was something that their father had never given to Daisuke to learn, Mai had no idea why though.
She cleared her mind of any extra outside thoughts as she recalled what exactly the scroll had shown her. Mai found that it was easier to think of an old ninjutsu that she knew and how it cold possibly connect to the current jutsu she was learning. Some of the lightning dragon tornado properties were somewhat close to the Chidori. But how see saw it was a counter to Akane`s water vortex, but hers could kill much faster than drowning in the vortex. Mai started off by raising her arms into the air, since it wasnt a cloudy day out she couldnt depend on drawing lightning from the sky, instead Mai had to draw upon the lightning chakra in herself. That was the easiest part of the technique since she could already focus her lightning chakra to different parts of her body. But keeping it together was a bit of a challenge, and before she moved on Mai fought with it for awhile and eventually she got it to stick around.
She let the lightning flow a little bit more freely, so that the lightning could radiate around her body. Little sparks began to appear around her body, then she quickly began to spin herself around and around. At the top of her hands form a teeny tiny little tornado like shape but quickly poofed away. Mai groaned a little bit then tried again.

Each time she failed to get anywhere with the technique fueled an even more determined attitude towards it. Mai was starting to feel a little bit dizzy after spinning around for such an extended period of time, which was starting to give her a headache. But she charged the lightning based chakra to her body once again, this time faster than the attempt before it. Mai began to spin herself around again, but this time she had decided to try spinning a little bit longer to see if that helped at all.
Mai was tempted to close her eyes while she focused, but if the technique got out of hand and she had to gain control of it quickly that would probably cause some problems. Sasuke`s words kept ringing through her head, 'Focus, focus, focus, dont get distracted.'
She felt like something was happening, there was a little bit of a swirling action coming from the chakra but nothing huge just yet. Mai glanced up at her hands, the little vortex had begun to form at her fingertips and spread downward at quite the rapid rate. But when she heard something flutter around in the bushes near her Mai lost her focus and the little lightning vortex disappeared.

Mai snapped back right to attention when she saw a bird flutter out of the bush and dart off into the sky. She closed her eyes, it was the best way for her to visualize the technique in her head, despite the fact she was told not to. The Uchiha still had a couple of sparks jumping around her body, mostly static in her hair but she decided to use it to speed up the flow of the technique. She kept her arms up in the air and she began to spin around and around. Mai was starting to feel less and less dizzy as her head started getting used to the motion.
Sparks began to form themselves into the familiar vortex, but this time the top of the tornado began to shape a head shape. The lightning vortex was just about formed around her arms, covering her head. Mai opened her eyes to see the wall of lightning before her eyes. She could see the head shape at the top of the vortex, it was starting to form a dragon like head.

Learning new techniques, even if they were of her elements, seemed as if it took forever. It was probably just Mai`s luck but she kept up the determined state of mind. If she wanted to have this technique down then she`d just have to work faster and much harder. She strained to get the lightning to form down around the rest of her body, but when she felt like somebody was watching her she nearly lost her focus. Mai figured that it must have been trying to mold the chakra into a dragon head was what was getting her, but every good thing came at a price.
As difficult as it was to keep control of the lightning vortex she forced herself to keep it together. And if seemed as if it worked a bit, the lightning continued to move down her body as she continued to mold the head of the dragon. It began to snap furiously at some nearby trees, as long as they didnt catch other trees on fire they were fair game. Mai was almost half way there.
Daisuke hopped down from one tree when he saw that his sister`s lightning dragon planned to eat the trees. He had to inform Mai that he would be leading a team on a mission that was coming up soon. But for the moment he just let his sister concentrate on her current jutsu, Daisuke knew how easily distracted she could become.
Mai didnt even notice her brother, the crack of lightning every time the dragon`s head struck a tree, was too loud for her to notice anything else. The lightning had finally spread about half way down her body. The Uchiha was starting to feel really really dizzy from the spinning.
"Spin faster, the wind will probably help with the process."

Mai glanced back for a single moment, but she could hardly tell who it was. The words were muffled, and all she could make out from the sentence was spin and faster. Anybody could have put them together. She saw the little white and red blur on the person`s chuunin vest. Daisuke, it had to have been.
"We`ve got a mission coming up, so dont take too long on this."
She groaned, having a time limit made the young Uchiha that much more frazzled. She had to work on a complicated technique, and now she had some kind of mission to go on. But knowing that she was about half way done did ease her mind a bit.
Mai tried her brothers suggestion and sped up her spin just a bit, the wind whipped up a little bit more than she was used to. Now she was starting to feel a bit unsteady and wobbly on her feet. She nearly lost her balance, but quickly got back to her rhythmic pattern with her feet. One, two, three... one, two, three...
The speed seemed to help stretch out the lightning, or at least thats what she was telling herself. Mai didnt have to strain herself so much to control the head of the beastly dragon, but that didnt stop the sweat from dripping off her face. She forced her eyes open and to look up towards her hands. The vortex was much narrower at the top, but the numb feeling in her arms distracted her away from that.
To test the speed of the vortex Mai stopped moving herself, but she staggered and swayed on her feet. The vortex kept spinning for the most part. The head of the lightning dragon snapped another tree in half, it fell and smashed another tree it its way.

So close... Mai took a deep breath, she was getting so close to finishing off this technique. She was eager to impress her older brother, she was learning a technique that their father hadnt taught Daisuke. It seemed as if becoming a chuunin was all it took to fall back into the spotlight in her father`s eyes. Daisuke was like her equal now, even though he had held that rank several more years than she had but still the rank was the same.
Her hands had much better control of the jutsu now that she was in motion. Mai spread out her feet and planted them firmly on the ground to make sure that she would tip over so easy, she was still getting to the spinning motion.
"Come on Mai, we dont have very much time until we have to start our mission. Its good one, there will probably be some action." Daisuke explained to her, knowing that his sister would probably work faster under the pressure and expectation.
"Imm.... getting there... relax Dai.... suke..." Mai mumbled as she curled her open hands into fists. She swayed a bit to the right, the dragon`s head followed like a whip. Then she moved her arms towards the left, the dragon`s head still followed like a faithful pet. The Uchiha grinned, finally everything was starting to fall into place.
"Oh, and Lord Yuuto requested to see you after the mission. He has something he wants to show you."
Mai perked up when her froggy sensei was mentioned, she hadnt seen him since he dropped her off in Konoha several months before. He mentioned that he disappeared for extended periods of time.
She snapped back her attention to the wild dragon vortex, the lightning had almost completely incased his body, only had about half a leg length left till it touched the ground. The dragon head veered towards Daisuke and snapped at him, but the older Uchiha leapt back and away. Mai made a mental note in her head to apologize for that later.

Daisuke had decided that it was about time for him to head out, seeing that his sister`s lightning dragon could easily shock him to dead. He looked to Mai again and waved.
"I`ll talk to you when you get home, dads expecting you to be home in an hour." Daisuke told her, then he took off back to the village. Mai on the other hand didnt have any time too say bye. The vortex was co close to encasing her whole body, but it just wasnt enough yet. She felt really drained, using the technique for such a long time was really not the smartest thing to do.
Mai felt a shock flood her body, the jutsu quickly retreated back to her body. She dropped onto her hands and knees and dug her fingers into the dirt, the shock was much more painful than anything she remembered. The lightning finally left her for the moment. Mai groaned as she slowly got back to her feet, she only had twenty minutes until she had to be back.
Mai rubbed her head, it was pounding. Between the spinning and the intense shock it was hard to keep herself in the right state of mind. But she got herself steady and began to weave the handsigns for the technique. The lightning quickly incased her body, this time all of the way probably because she wasnt trying the mold the chakra into a dragon`s head. Mai channeled the chakra up around her hands, and streamed out. Mai kept spinning around and around, the blood kept pounding in her head.
From the top of the vortex came a large blob of lightning chakra, Mai worked hard the mold it into the correct shape.
