Avani giggled then nodded as she agreed with him. Yasuo might be hungry, but he was never stupid enough to pick a fight with something much bigger than himself. She got a few things to eat and sat at the table where Ishimaru was.

Garun grabbed some fruit before joining the two. He then took a bite before swallow3ing it and smiling. "This is much better than nuts" garun said before he took another bite.

Ishimaru just sat quietly as he ate, noticing that many people were whispering and pointing at them. Most of it he assumed was because of talk about Avani being the Avatar, and possibly a little bit about his leg.
"Looks like you are attracting some attention Avani."

Avani looked up and glanced around. She didnt mind them talking about her, but she could only hope that they had heard good things about her.
"Oh.."she said softly as she glanced towards all of the people that stared, "Uhh... what should I do? Stay quiet?"

Ishimaru was doing just that, eating his meal quietly. He just nodded to Avani's question before taking a second look at everyone else. Things looked as if they were calming down a bit now, but he really hoped that no one would bother them.

Zhang poked his head in through the door and spotted the others, he waved and trotted over to them. The fire bender didnt bother getting anything, he had eaten earlier.
"Looks like everybody is checkin out the avatar eh?"Zhang chuckled. Avani didnt do anything, she just kept quiet.

"Hmm it seems like that doesn't it" garun said to Zhang as he approached. "So what's your plans anyway for the day" He asked the group.

Ishimaru looked up when Zhang arrived, finishing the last of his meal as he did so. He listened quietly for a moment before talking.
"I was going to help Avani with some airbending training if possible. Hopefully the monks won't try to interfere. The ones that helped me with my legs were really pushy about my health concerns."

Zhang listened to all of them speak, he grinned.
"I have no idea what im going to do... probably watch, write a letter to my girl friend back home, other then that... im at a loss for things to do."

"Well, I hope your girlfriend responds as soon as possible. We may not be staying here for long, and I would hate for her response to arrive after we leave. Anyway, I'm finished here. Whenever you are ready Avani meet me in the outer courtyard so we can start." Ishimaru said.
He rolled himself away from the table, and started to head out of the mess hall and towards the courtyard.

Avani got up as well, quickly followed after, and eventually catching up to him. She couldnt help but wonder what they were going to start with first. Of course she wanted to learn something fun, but she probably would have to learn the basics of airbending first. Hopefully it didnt take too long.
"So what are we going to start with first?"

Ishimaru had hoped to gain some time to himself before Mai arrived, but apparently fate didn't want that for him. He was sitting outside in the courtyard, overlooking the clouds below that covered the base of the mountain that the Airbending Temple rested upon.
"The first thing I would like you to do is come over here and just sit down and take a look at this. I know that is not your thing, but trust me on it."

It took Avani a moment to realize that Ishimaru had spoke to her. But then she did what he had said to do and sat down. She looked up at him.
"You want me to look at the view?"asked the water bender, "Am I supposed to look for anything in particular?"

"Well, you can enjoy the view if you like, but I was aiming for something a bit deeper than that. Since you will be serving the world as the Avatar, you must learn airbending. And in order to learn airbending, you must learn to think like an airbender." Ishimaru said as he closed his eyes, taking in the scene before him as he began meditating as best he could in a wheelchair.
"We airbenders attempt to live in harmony with nature, believing that everyone and everything is connected together in one, harmonious existence. Once you start to understand that, then we can truly begin to teach you airbending."

Avani closed her eyes and tried meditating like Ishimaru did. At first she found herself a little antsy due to the fact she never sat for extended periods of time for reasons she didnt necessarily understand. Occasionally she would glance up at him with one eye open, but would soon resume her meditative state.
"So you mean connections like the moon and the ocean? I remember when I first started learning waterbending I observed how the moon pushed and pulled the ocean."she told him before becoming quiet again.
