Luckily for them, the chakra tail of the kyuubi hadnt appeared yet so it was much easier to stop her rage on her own. Mai had landed on all fours, then turned around to face them. She was seated let a dog. Her slitted eyes looked over one of her hands, then very slowly up at Garun. With in the blink of an eye she stood right in front of him. Her jaw was clenched tight as she bared large fangs, both balled fists resisted the urge to give him a nice punch.
"Thanks for all of the help."She hissed sarcastically, turning away and crossing her arms as she went back to normal. Mai sighed then smiled to herself, "The fight was finally getting good and she ran. I told her she`d lose."

"WEll you two made a deal so that we couldnt get invovled. And before that we all helped but we got attacked. Me and Hino got attacked before we could help. We dont all have the sharingan or a tailed beast so we are not all as mighty as you. So before you get a strop on with us then think first." Garun said to Mai's back. He then turned to Henjin. "Go away. Youve had your laugh" Garun said before turning to Hojo. "Lets get on with the mission". He then walked over to Akane. "Are you ok" He asked her

"A little pip squeak like you is telling me to leave?"He laughed, "Luckily for you the Inuzuka ruined my wanting for a fight, so ill be back later for her. You know its quite funny that you check on her, even though she barely did a thing. Lucky enough I was here since you two cant do anything by yourselves. The Uchiha on the other hand was getting murdered out there, yet you just assume shes fine. Either you have way too much confidence in her, or you dont really care that much. Just imagine how miserably you would fail if she wasnt here to protect you. Hmmm, well im off... watch your backs for now."
Mai looked at her half fingered glove on her right hand, it was slashed and had some blood on it. Yet there was no scar. The wonders of super fast healing.

((Sorry for not posting that much in this thread, but I couldn't really think of anything...))
During the fight with the Inuzuka clan girl Hojo had sat back and watched, letting Mai deal with the girl as per her request. He was getting to the point of intervention when the girl left, though he knew if anymore fighting occured he'd have to hold Mai back. She seemed to be getting upset, and if any of those stories about the Hokage Uzumaki were true, you didn't want to get a tailed-beast holder angry.
As for Henjin, the man wasn't attacking at that point, but Hojo had his hand on a kunai ready to use it if necessary.
Akane, meanwhile, had made her way out of the thick of the fighting to avoid getting hurt. She didn't enjoy being so useless in a fight, but she really didn't know how to use jutsu without tapping into the tailed beast's power. And she was not going to be consumed by it or dependent on it.
"Mai, are you alright?"

Mai turned to face Akane, she nodded and smiled.
"Yeah im fine, but I should be asking you the same. You okay?"She asked, "Sorry that I couldnt help you when the clones were attacking."

Mai turned to Garun, she felt bad for some reason. But she really did wish he acted more like the guy she liked while on a mission. She guessed, as they told her, it was because they were all nervous and on edge. Was she the only one who wasnt afraid? Or was she afraid, but wouldnt let herself think about it?
"Hey Garun, sorry for being a jerk ...."she mumbled, she felt stupid because she didnt think she had done anything wrong. But she was kind of being mean. "I just get worked up some times ya know."

"It's fine Mai, I'm not seriously hurt or anything. As for the mission." Akane started looking down at the ground as she fidgeted a little, "I'd like to go back to the Leaf Village now. I..."
"No need to explain Akane, I think I see where you are going with this. You were just travelling around trying to find somewhere safe, and I assume you now feel that the Leaf Village is the safest place to be, right?" Hojo said as he leaned against a tree?
"Yes sir, thats it. I really do apologize for causing all this trouble for you just to head back to the Leaf Village."
Hojo sighed before speaking. "It's not problem at all Akane. The Leaf Village is always ready to protect those who need it. However, I think now would be a good time to take a rest before we head out. I'll keep watch while you four take a rest."

"I dont need any rest! I feel great! I`ll help stand watch too sensei."Mai said, obviously in a much better mood. She had a bright smile on her face and her arms were crossed as she stood in a proud stance. She felt a bit antsy, almost as if she wanted to fight Henjin. Probably best if she didnt though.
"Your gunna stay in the leaf eh?"Mai asked, "Awesome! We should hang out some time, maybe I could help you with your jutsu if you want. So your better prepared next time your ambushed or something."
