"That one."Henjin pointed to Akane, "However, the other one feels more evil ... perhaps I`ll take em both for double teh pay."
He let out a little chuckle, it seemed pretty funny to him. Henjins face grew serious again.
"So .. Ill ask you one last time nicely ... give em to me and the rest of ya wont have to die got it?"

"Well, I'm sorry to say that I can't do that. Akane is being protected by me for a mission, and Mai is my student. Neither one I am allowed to give up to you. However, I am allowed to beat you to a pulp."
With that Hojo disappeared for a split second, though before he did it looked like he was in a running position. However, he quickly reappeared underneath Henjin and proceeded to hit him with an upper kick. If it made contact, up and away he went. If not, then the group was exposed and he would have to make a dash back to them to protect them. It was a gamble, but he was all about the gamble.

Henjin quickly leapt up just out of Hojo`s reach. The wolf landed and dashed at the small group, Mai knew this wasnt going to turn out well but it was her job to defend Akane. As fast as she could Mai preformed a few handsigns and put two fingers to her mouth. Flames spewed out at Henjin.
The wolf fired back, preforming a handsign or two he prepared for the flames.
"Doryuu Heki - Earth Style Wall!" A huge rock wall rose from the ground and the flames went around it. The Uchiha went for her Chakra knives. Henjin made up his mind, he`d see what these ninja were capable of.

So, he uses Earth Style jutsu? I think I can handle that. Just have to be careful to not try to hard or not hard enough on the Earth if he uses it.I could possibly break my leg, though I do have that one technique.
Hojo was proud of Mai's reaction, and glad to see that the argument hadn't affected her fighting skills. Now that he was focused on her he could try to get a shot in.Getting off the ground and back on his feet, he started heading straight towards Henjin. However, he jumped into the air for a kick before reaching him. If this worked then Henjin would get hit in the back with a kick. If not, well Hojo would be prepared to bounce of the earthen wall.

Henjin dropped the wall and ducked out of the way of the kick. Strangly enough he didnt attack back. He didnt care about Hojo at all, but the strange chakra of this girl that attacked him was odd.
"Ya might wanna think of another plan there sensei ... got anything else but Taijutsu?"

"Yes, actually I do." Hojo began performing a series of handsigns before releasing a mist at Henjin. It didn't look like much, but Hojo knew exactly what it was; Mitst Waltz Technique. The mist was flammable, so all it would take to light this guy up would be a flame. The bad side to this was that the mist would hit not only Kenjin but a nice amount of the battlefield. They would have to be careful when to set it off.

This was just great, most of Mai`s techniques were flame based. Henjin knew it might backfire if the girl didnt know that.
"Hehehe, got any other tricks? Or do you have to depend on your little students?"

"Tricks,tricks, I don't use tricks. I prefer to face my opponents head on. And I don't rely on my students, they rely on me and I won't fail them on that. Now lets see what you got."
Hojo got into position again, but it didn't last long as he ran to strike at Henjin. This time there was no mist, no fire, no anything. Hojo was going for a basic one-on-one taijutsu showdown between him and Henjin. With his training Hojo would most likely be able to move faster than Henjin and provide a little more power to the punches and kicks.

Henjin was going to let Hojo hit him, he preformed some handsigns. He felt a leg bash into his chest, it knocked the wind slightly out of him, but it wasnt enough to prevent him from grabbing hold and attempting to drag Hojo into the ground. Henjin wasnt preforming the technique right, he should have been in the ground but it should work all the same.
"Double Suicide Decapitation Technique!"
Even if it just trapped Hojo the slightest bit, Henjin knew it wouldnt hold forever but it would give him the chance to see what was with this strange girl. If the two girls were anything alike, he could probably get double what he was being paid. That and he was just curious.

Once his leg got grabbed Hojo tried to take a swing with his other leg, but had been brought down onto the ground before he got a chance. It was pure luck that the technique hadn't gone all the way through, so he still had access to his body.
It took him a moment but he was able to free his hands enough to perform the necessary hand signs. Within a moment a fireball came from his mouth, heading straight for that mist And sadly for Henjin, since mist is a liquid at least some of it would stick to him, making him a match waiting to burn. Hojo, however, was safely underground for the most part. His face might get a little burned, but he could live with that.

In order for Henjin to have gotten Hojo into the ground would have required him to go underground as well. This wolf man was tricky. Henjin surfaced once some of the flames died down, good his plan had worked even though he was a little bit burnt. Mai took a deep breath, it looked like she was left to defend the group until Hojo got out.
Mai`s eyes went from blue to sharingan red. If Hojo sensei couldnt get him, then she would need all of the help she could get. She had to think up a plan, but she couldnt think of anything so she would have to improvise. Since the forest was already pretty much on fire, it wouldnt hurt to try and get him with flames again. She charged, then blew the flames out at him once she was close.
Henjin dodged the flames but wasnt exactlly expecting this girl to know lightning jutsu. Thats when he saw it, she was of the Uchiha clan. The wolf laughed.
"Your an Uchi..."he paused, where did she go? Suddenly he felt something strike his back. It sent a surge through his body. In a reaction, Henjin swung his machete. Mai tried to duck once she saw thats what he was going to do, but she didnt expect the machete to be as long as it was. It slashed her in the face. Once the static left his body, he sent a swift kick her way. It flung her back into a tree.
She braught a hand to her cheek, it hurt badly. All she hoped was that it didnt go all the way through. Mai got up, but to her surprise Henjin had disappeared.
"Are you kidding me? He ran?"Mai heard her back crack when she went to Hojo, "Gaaaahhh... that hurt... "

Hojo had to mentally beat himself for forgetting about Henjin having to go underground. Still, at least the battlefield would be more of a bother now, especially since Henjin would have some mist on him since it was originally sent towards him. Hojo would be fine since he was the source of it and therefore didn't have any on him.
By the time Mai was heading towards him he had gotten out of the hole, but instead of worrying about Henjin he had to take care of her first.
"Mai, are you all right? Good job bye the way."
Akane was watching battle as she stood behind Hino and Garun. This guy was definantly tougher than the last one, and he could actually succeed in killing them. Then she would be captured and have who knew what happen to her. And these people would have died to protect her, and she didn't want that to be burdening her forever. She wouldn't let that happen.
She quickly performed a series of handsigns before releasing a stream of water from her mouth straight at Henjin. Hojo looked up at her and made a quick comment to Mai.
"So, apparently Akane does know how to use some jutsu. Guess you can't rag on her for that, uh?"
Even in battle I joke. It's a weird habbit, but it keeps things interesting. At least I'm not making any promises to do five hundred pushups or something.

Henjin turned when he heard the sound of water. The wolf created another earth wall to block the water. The wall dropped and he faced the small group.
"Pathetic jutsu little water girl ... I shouldnt even bother with you anymore, but thats not up to me..."chuckled Henjin, "Well I`ve seen enough.. for now." With that the wolfman disappeared into the woods.
Mai felt her cheek again, it felt as if it was healing already. The blood was still on her face, but the wound was practically gone.
"Yeah Im fine, lets just get Akane to where ever shes going and quick."

Hojo was a bit amazed at the ability of the fox. The wound was almost gone, and she had gotten it almost a few seconds ago.
"Alright then, but clean yourself up some. Don't want my students with blood on their faces."
Since Mai was okay, Hojo had someoen else to deal with.
"Akane, you have some explaining to do. That is two ninja that have gone after us, and that last one wasn't a pushover. I want to know why they are after you and i want to know now for the safety of you and my team." Hojo was really serious as he said that, and he was giving Akane a bit of an evil eye.
Akane was getting just as upset, though more because everyone was upset. She hadn't meant to put them in harm. How was she supposed to know shinobi like that would have showed up? Everything was not going the way she planned. As she spoke one could sense the depression in it.
"It's because I have something they want. I'm not sure what it is really. It's like some kind of power or something that's giving me this huge amount of chakra, and that's all I know. No one ever got to explain to me what it was exactly."
"I think that's good enough for now. Team, get back into position, though Hino your staying in the back with Garun. I want Mai up front with me. I have to talk to her about something."
Even if Akane didn't know what she was, Hojo had a pretty good idea. And he was going to have to talk to Mai about it since she just so happened to be one as well.

Mai heard that Hojo wanted her in the front. She shrugged and put her hands in her shorts pockets. She trotted over to him and looked up.
"What did you want to talk to me about Hojo sensei?"
