Zhang raised an eyebrow, not knowing that the Airbenders were still sore on the subject. But he understood, tons of people didnt like them still.
"Oh sure, sorry about that. Sometimes Im a little too proud to be a firebender." chuckled Zhang as he looked at Avani.

"It's alright. It's just that many people here are formely from the Earth Kingdom and probably still have some lingering fear of firebenders. Add in what they did to the Airbenders so long ago and people get really nervous around them." Ishimaru replied, hoping an explanation would smooth things over in case there was any kind of confusion or such.
"So then, do either of you have plans for this afternoon. I thought about giving you all a tour so you know what's available to you. Besides, I'm sure Avani would want to see the flying lemurs. They've made quite the comeback over the years."

Zhang nodded his head, he could understand that. He wasnt like the other fire benders so the air nomads didnt have much to worry about. When Ishimaru asked about their plans he shrugged, he had none. Avani didnt either.
"I`ve got nothing to do." Zhang told her.
"Ooh Lemurs? I havent seen one before."

"Great, let's see if we can find one of the little guys." Ishimaru said as he started to roll himself towards one of the small, wooded plazas that dotted the temple. Usually monks used them for meditation or other such activites, but when empty the flying lemur enjoyed playing around.
"Now then, should warn you that they are a bit...energetic. And curious. So don't be alarmed if..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Ishimaru watched as a small, white furred creature flew over to Avani and Zhang and looked up at them, head cocked to the right in curiosity. It didn't take long before it started to sniff at them, probably seeing if they had food.

(I thought I posted already O.o stupid computer must not have posted my reply... )
Avani looked up at the lemur and giggled softly to herself. She dug around in her pockets looking for something she could give the lemur. Zhang was already on it, he had saved a small piece of bread from earlier and broke it in half, and handed one side to the young Avatar.
"Do they bite?" asked the fire bender, he carefully held out a little piece of bread to the little lemur.

Zhang's questions was promptly answered by the overeager lemur, who bit his hand in an attempt to get the bread. He soon scampered off with it, enjoying every last crumb.
"Well, yes, they can bite. But I assume I don't need to tell you that, now do I?" Ishimaru replied as he noticed that Avani's lemur was a bit kinder, gently grabbing ahold of the bread instead of biting her hand off.

Zhang watched the blood roll down his hand, the fire bender laughed. Of course he was the one who was going to get hurt, the lemur would never hurt the avatar. Avani giggle as the lemur grabbed her piece of the bread and was glad that she didnt lose a finger.
"Im sure its because im a firebender." Zhang commented.
"I doubt that Zhang, hes probably just eager to eat something." Avani replied with a shrug.

"Yeah, I don't know any lemurs that have a problem with the Fire Nation. Then again, they might just be getting some vibes off of some of the people living here. Animals are known to be intune with the emotions of humans, and will react accordingly."
Ishimaru noticed some monks were over by Suppo, looking as if they were loading her for a trip or something. He was curious, till he remembered that they were going to have to head out and find some kind of Earthbender teacher. Hopefully the flying bison could make it as her wounds from earlier had probably not healed completely.
"Well, the monks look as if they expect us to leave soon. We should probably head out tomorrow morning or something. Main question is where should we be heading to?"

"Well since we`ve gotten down some of the air bending basics down I would assume that we should move onto the next element as soon as possible." Avani replied to Ishimaru`s question, the fire bender nodded his head. The world needed a full fledged avatar as soon as possible, but Zhang would have thought they would stick around and train some more. But then again he was kind of glad, he was getting a little bored at the air temple.
"I`ll probably leave the little group when we get to the earth kingdom, I figure I should go home for a little while and touch up on my firebending skills before I train the avatar." Zhang lauged as he crossed his arms, "Plus the earth kingdom doesnt really like fire benders too much right now, for obvious reasons, I dont want to cause any more trouble."

"Well, I personally don't think you've caused any trouble, but if you feel the need to do that I won't stop you. Just be careful. War hasn't broken out yet, but if it did we might not be able to meet up with you for a long time." Ishimaru replied to Zhang's announcement.
Glancing over at the bison, he noticed the monks had finished securing everything. He was glad to see that they wouldn't be running out of supplies anytime soon, though he was concerned that Suppo might not be able to carry everything. Then again, she was a pretty tough bison.
"So then, why don't we get some dinner and sleep, and then head out in the morning?"
((Just so you know, we can skip to the morning if you want.))

"I wont be far, and besides there are tons of other really good fire bending masters out there that would teach the avatar." Zhang replied, "Im still a novice myself, kind of.... I might be a little bit better than a novice... but im sure you get the point. Well, im off for the night. See you all in the morning."

Avani yawned softly when the first beam of sun light hit her face. The avatar rubbed her eyes as she sat up. It felt as if they had just gotten there, and they were already moving on. She got up, got dressed and cleaned up her room. Avani never got to say goodbye before Garun decided to head back home, which bugged her slightly.
She headed out of her room, closing the door behind her, then headed out to the bison area to find Suppo. Zhang came down soon after, Yasuo was already curled up on Suppo`s saddle.

Ishimaru had already beaten the two of them to Suppo, and he was currently standing up, with the aid of cruches at least. The monks thought it would be better for him to have those instead of the wheel chair. It hurt a little more, but at least he wasn't a bulky mess like he would have been in the wheelchair.
He heard the two of them come up from behind, and turned around to greet them.
"Good morning you two. I suggest you guys get something to eat because we're not stopping till we hit the Earth Kingdom. I already ate, so don't worry about me."

Zhang had already gotten a large piece of bread for the ride, he had gotten something to eat on the way down which is why it took so long. Avani had forgotten about food, but she had some seal jerky from the trip to the air temple left over.
"Way ahead of ya." Zhang commented, holding up the piece of bread, then quickly glanced around to make sure no lemurs came and stole it. He quickly tucked it in a bag he had.
"I have some seal jerky in my bag, that should be enough until we get there."

"Alright then. Unless there is anything else, than I believe it is time for us to head out." Ishimaru replied.
Heading up to the bison's side, he waited for Suppo to bend down a little to make it easier for him to get on top. Ishimaru apologized as he grabbed a tuft of fur, and then began to use the fur as a sort of ladder to reach the top. Suppo hardly flinched, and soon Ishimaru was on top and manning the reigns. The crutches he had secured on his back along side his glider.

Avani wanted to show off her new air bending skills, and propelled her self up onto the saddle. Zhang watched the young avatar before he carefully walked up Suppo`s tail like a ramp. She sat near the front of the saddle so she could talk with Ishimaru, the fire bender sat cooly in the back and occasionally stroked the large snow leopard.
"Are you going to head back to the air temple after you drop me off?" Avani asked her friend quietly, Zhang was nosey so she didnt want him to hear their conversation.
