Restocking Supplies and Rest

"I believe thats everything I need. Here is your payment, and good day mam."

Magnus walked out of the local general store, and as he had paid extra to have them deliver the supplies to his ship, he was free to explore the town. Of course, the town was so small as to make it almost unexplorable. He could see just about there was to see just standing on main street. About the only thing of interest was a naval base, which for Magnus was a bit worrisome. Being a pirate, he wasn't in good standing with the Navy.

"Ah,what do they care.I'm just some low-level, no bounty punk in there eyes. Not like anyone is going to go after me."

With nothing left to do, he headed over to the small tavern/inn to order him some lunch. He sat down at the counter, and after ordering a drink and meal, he waited. There wasn't much else he could do.

Jonathan walked out of the Navy base. He was on liberty, so he decided to take a walk around town. The town was small, too small for Jonathan's taste. As he was on his walk, Jonathan noticed a tavern to his left.

Hmm... I could use some coffee, before my next shift.

Jonathan then went on in. As he came in the door he glanced around a bit. Everyone just seemed to stop what they were doing and stared at him. They all had a nevus look on their faces. "Tch..." Jonathan said to himself. There was one person that sparked his interest. (Magnus) So he went over and took a seat next to him, just to see what he'd do. He seemed different than the others.

Magnus was to distracted by his meal to notice that someone else had walked in. He didn't notice anything else really until the man sat down next to him. After a minute he stopped, and after cleaning his mouth of to make sure that he didn't have a mess on him. He turned his head over to the man, and said in a polite but irritated tone,

"Is there something that I can help you with sir?"

[Michael]

Jonathan smirked at this reply. "Nope." He said. He then called the server of the tavern. "Excuse me. I'd like a coffee, black." Jonathan turned towards Magnus. "You look familiar. What's your name?"

[Pikachu]

"Well, good sir, I'm Magnus Heinason. I'm just in town to pick up some supplies before I head out to sea. Oh, and tender, I'm done with my meal."

The bar tender took Magnus's plate as he handed Jonathan his coffee. Magnus ordered some water, and was quickly served.

"So, what do you do around here?" Magnus asksed, sipping some water.

[Michael]

Hmm... This one isn’t very smart. You’d think the uniform would give me away.

"I'm a marine. I'm on my break right now." He said, drinking 1/4th of his coffee in one gulp.

Everyone in the tavern seemed to calm down some.

[Pikachu]

A marine heh? Interesting then that he's talking to a pirate without even trying to do something. You know, I'm kind of bored. Maybe slipping that in might liven things up.

"Ah, a marine. I just had a nasty run in with a few of them on an island a while back. Some corrupt son of a guns they were. Had to beat their heads in a little. They did remove the captain,though for some unknown reason they now consider me a pirate. Silly, don't you think?"

[Michael]

Jonathan already had his flintlock pistol pointing at Magnus wile he was finishing his story about him and the marines. "Yep, I know." He then gulped the rest of his coffee and put it on the table, he then told the server to put it on his tab.

"I think you should come with me..."

[Pikachu]

Looking down at the flintlock pistol,and then up at he marine, Magnus went back to finishing his water.With that done, he put it calmly on the counter.

"Now,now, is that any way to treat a person? I thought you marines were more reasonable . Still, I'm sorry to say I'm going to have to deny your request. My ship should be done loading now, and I must be going."

Magnus got off of his stool and started walking calmly. His face was away from the marine, but what was happening was something that the marine wouldn't want to see. Using the special powers of the cursed Tweet Tweet fruit, Magnus was shifting into his half-hawk form. Right now his mouth and nose were turning into a beak, and soon his arms would be turning into wings for flying.

[Michael]

Jonathan was on his feet by the time Magnus changed into a bird. He raised his eye brow some due to the slight surprise. "Hmm... this will be fun. Haven’t been able to do any thing since I was put on guard duty." Jonathan quickly aimed his flint lock and pulled the trigger. Then he pulled out his cutlass just in case the bird tried anything.

The bullets from Jonathan's flinlock hit Magnus somewhere in the feathers of his left wing. It didn't hurt to much, but it did mean flying was going to be a pain. Still, he had been fired on, and it was so ungentlemanly to walk away from a challenge.

"So, thats the way you want to treat a guest on this island. Well, I should be happy to oblige you."

Magnus pulled out his cutlass, and turned to face his opponent. By this point his shifting had finished, and he was gazing at the marine fiercely, sword at the ready.

"So then, would you like the first move or do you want me to go first?"

[Michael]

Hmm... This one is a bit strange. Seems to be the polite type, though.

"Hmm... How bout this, just to make this interesting, no tricks, no gunpowder, just the cutlass. Deal?" Jonathan twirled his cutlass once, and then got in the ready position.

[Razum]

The doors to the bar opened, and in walked Sanji was a bag full of various food items. A couple of glances were shot he way as he walked right by the two that were about to fight, but he didn't bother doing anything. Instead he just sat down, and placed an order for some food. I'd rather just cook myself something, but it's always good to try the food in new places. Plus, I'll probably need the food I bought to cook something on the ship that gives me a ride to the next island.

(Put 2 (Sanji's personality) + 2 (your actions) together to get Sanji involved please. It doesn't even have to be on purpose, it can be done accidentally.)

Magnus glanced over at the guy with the bag full of food for a moment before looking back at the marine.

"I was thinking the same exact thing. No guns or tricks involved." Magnus's faced started to shift back to human. It was easier to fight with his cutlass without the annoyances of wings getting in the way.

With the rules set, Magnus was ready to begin the duel of sorts. He slashed forward with the cutlass, aiming for Jonathan's waist. He was hoping to hit the flintlock, just to make sure the marine didn't get any funny ideas.

[Michael]

Jonathan quickly deflected the attack with his cutlass.

It looks like he's got a brain... Trying to make sure I don't try nothing with my gun. But my gun won’t be used until the end.

Jonathan quickly attacked the chest area then followed up with another at his legs.
