Ishimaru responded with a "Yip-Yip", and Suppo taking off into the air. Once in the air, he could claim he needed to concentrate on flying and therfore could not answer questions. He knew his behavior was probably just making Zhang even more suspicious, but until they could come up with a better idea, it would have to do.

Since it didnt seem like Ishimaru was going to budge he decided to pound Avani with questions. He knew that she wouldnt be able to hold it in as long, Avani was a girl after all and most of them couldnt keep a secret if their life depended on it.
"So Avani, why dont you tell me what you guys have to hide from me? I mean really, who am I going to tell?" Zhang asked, Avani didnt say a word. She had promised that she wouldnt, and Avani wasnt about to embarrass Ishimaru.
"Come on....." Still nothing.
"I`ll throw you off the bison." He said that mainly to get a reaction out of Ishimaru.

"And then I'll throw you off. Trust me, I can hold onto this bison a lot better than you could. Besides, she's the avatar, and I've been teaching her airbending. I think she could survive the fall much better than you could." Ishimaru replied, doing his best to focus on the area ahead.
It sounded heartless, but in his mind, there would be no way Zhang would actually throw her off. The threat was useless to begin with, and he'd hope Avani would realize that and not get mad at him for sounding so careless.

Zhang raised an eyebrow, if Ishimaru really didnt care about her he wouldnt have said anything at all. But his first comment was what made him the most interested in their hidden situation. Avani didnt really seem too phased about Zhang`s little threat, knowing he wouldnt actually do it. Ishimaru`s comment rattled her a bit though, he sounded so heartless but in a defensive kind of way.
"Ahha... you two like eachother dont you? Heh, I knew it all along." Zhang made himself nice and comfortable, he grinned and closed his eyes.

"We could just flip over real quick and get rid of him if you want." Ishimaru whispered over to Avani.
He was glad they were in the air, because he could blame the altitude for the blushing on his face. Still, Zhang sounded certain in his belief, and if he tried to discourage it, he'd probably push Avani away. He was stuck between getting Zhang to leave him alone, and not ruining the now awkward friendship he had with Avani. This was a time he wished he could just meditate and think, but for now he had to fly, and stay full alert.

"That wouldnt be nice though." Avani whispered back to Ishimaru, then looked to Zhang again who saw them talking. To the firebender he saw their whispering as an act of love, which further convinced him that they totally liked eachother.
"Dont worry my little love birds I wont tell a soul." Zhang teased. Yasuo glanced at him and hissed. "Geeez! Sometimes that cat freaks me out, it just hissed at me in his sleep."

"I don't think he was sleeping Zhang. All your accusing must have woken him up." Ishimaru yelled out to the firebender.
After that he remained quiet, having no idea how to continue with this. It might just have been best to just bring it out in the open, and get the worse of it over and done with. Besides, the hiding of the kiss was taking up a lot of his focus, and if he was to teach, he'd have to be completely focus. All this internal embarrassment and knot twisting was just not healthy, and would be detrimental in the long run. Still, he didn't want to say it, for Avani's sake.

"Ishimaru? Should we just tell him? Whats the worst thing that could happen?" She whispered to him as Yasuo crawled over to them and curled up beside Ishimaru. He began to lick the bison`s much longer fur, it has a strange flavor to it but everything needed to be groomed by a cat at least once.
Zhang was pretty much right next to them in an instant, he raised an eyebrow at the two.
"Tell me what exactly?"

"That you apparently lack a sense of privacy..." Ishimaru replied in his usual dry humor tone of voice.
He took a deep breath as he considered what it was that Avani had said. It would probably be easier for everyone involved if that just told Zhang. Hiding it was failing miserably, and he'd be pestering them the entire time in Omashu. If they wanted to avoid it, they'd have to tell him now.
"We kissed in the cave because we thought it would help us get out because the statue said something like 'love is brightest in the dark' and had two people kissing." He ranted off, eyes closed and face blushing at a hundred and ten percent

Zhang laughed and went back to his spot, he knew they had been hiding something like that all along. He was happy for the two, but one thing wasnt clear to him. In order for something super natural like that to work they actually would have to like each other a little more than just friends. Zhang knew that Ishimaru would never ever admit to liking their friend though, that was just how he was.
"Oh, well good for you. Do you guys have any intentions of pursuing a relationship in the future?"
Avani glanced at Ishimaru, she readied herself for his quick NO. She shrugged, not wanting to say yes or no.

"No..." Ishimaru responded, slowly. His hesitance, he told himself, was to not hurt Avani's feelings since a quick No would be a sign he didn't like her. But, in the back of his own head, he knew he was wanting to keep the option open.
"Anyway, turned out we didn't need to do it since, once the torches went out, there were these crystals on the ceiling that led us out."

Avani winced at the word despite the fact she was prepared for it. As sad as it made her she couldnt get everything she wanted, but still did he have to be so blunt. If she and Zhang were in a situation like this, Zhang would smooth talk his way out of it which would have been fine with her. But Ishimaru`s words cut into her like a knife, but she still kept up her happy exterior.
Yasuo continued to groom Suppo`s fur, his tongue was coated in the thick hair though so he had to scrape it off with his paw. Zhang wasnt surprised the slightest bit when Ishimaru said no. But the way he trailed off made him believe that this wouldnt be the last time he heard something about Ishimaru and Avani`s sudden romantic moments.
"Believe what you want Ishimaru, but im a firm believer in romance and romantic things. And I think that one day you and Miss Avani will have some kind of relationship, I can see it in your eyes." Zhang commented as he ran a hand through his hair.

Suppo was rather enjoying the bath, and in fact got distracted by it enough to temporarily loose control of herself, leading to an early and unplanned dive. Ishimaru gained control of her, but then quickly rambled an excuse to avoid talking anymore.
"Guess Suppo got a bit to complacent. I think I need to focus on flying for a while, unless you want to go crashing towards the ground again." He said before looking straight ahead, the blushing on his face still fully visible.
He really hoped the 'No' hadn't hurt Avani. She looked like it hadn't, but he knew her enough to know she could be faking the happy exterior. He wasn't good enough to tell when it was real or not, but he knew she did it sometimes.
Life was so much simpler at the temple...

Yasuo continued his little grooming frenzy, he was probably enjoying it just as much as Suppo was. He always like to make sure everything was extra clean, Avani always told him that the grooming made his fur softer. Avani stroked a patch of fur where Yasuo had furiously groomed moments before, Suppo`s fur was incredibly soft.
"If Yasuo swallows all of that hair and coughs it up, we could use the hairball as a wig." Zhang added in, noticing that Avani seemed a little bit more down than she had been before. The Avatar had moved off to the other side of the saddle and stared over the edge, looking down at the earth below them.

"I think I'd rather stay bald." Ishimaru replied to Zhangs suggestion. He knew there was much more to a hairball than spit and hair. Basically, the cat would be vomiting up the hair, and he wouldn't want vomit on his head.
Ishimaru glanced over and noticed that Avani was acting a bit down. He had an idea why, but thought it would be a bad idea to get involved. They were going to need time to work this situation out and get back to a normal relationship.
