Avani just kept her head down as she watched all of the clouds zoom past, she just wanted to reach out and touch them but she knew they would avoid her. In the cave in the moment in which Ishimaru kissed her, she had forgotten about all of her other troubles and problems. She didnt know why she felt so lost now, it seemed like part of her was still wandering around in the cave.
Zhang didnt really know what to say to either of them, Ishimaru was just being a bonehead and Avani was probably going to mope around for a long time.
"Geez, you two have to... I mean you NEED to work this out."

Ishimaru remained silent at Zhang's pleading. What was there to work out? They kissed as part of a survival plan, and even if there were any feelings behind it, it didn't matter now. He liked Avani, he'll admit it. But that was a friend, not a girlfriend or anything like that. They were friends and, when it came to bending, teacher and student. It was a good setup in his mind.
That was what was making this so troubling. The kiss had thrown it out of equilibrium. Being an action reserved between lovers, doing it as friends just made things awkward. It made them both doubt just what they felt about the other. It made him think Avani liked him more than a friend, and probably vice-versa. The happy state of things they had was gone, replaced with awkwardness and depression in Avani's case.
"Avani, do think that maybe it would be best to act as if we never went in that cave and just go back to being friends. Best of friends of course."

Avani looked up at Ishimaru when she heard him speak to her, Zhang casually glanced towards them to try to see what they were talking about now. She nodded her head as soon as he said mentioned forgetting what had happened. It was probably the best thing for both of them, Avani pretty much just gave up on Ishimaru since she knew that he just wasnt that into her.
"Yeah yeah, of course. I`d rather be friends then nothing at all."

"I concur. Now then, should we inform Zhang of this, or should we just let him keep thinking his thoughts about us?" He replied, knowing the firebender would want to know full well how their relationship was going.
While he felt a little better that they could agree to stay friends, and therfore did not risk loosing her, he still felt odd. Hopefully, in time, it would go away so they could interact without blushing and stammering all the time.

"I`ll tell him later, he doesnt have to know everything right off the bat. Im sure he would just love to know, so might as well make him wait for a little while." Avani readjusted her position and leaned up against the side of the saddle. She stroked Yasuo`s long thickly furred tail, he was still grooming Suppo.
"How much longer until you think we`ll get there?"

"Not long since it is right there." Ishimaru replied, pointing at the large, tiered city of Omashu. Living at the Air Temple, he was used to similar designs, but sheer size of it was impressive. He hoped he wouldn't get lost once he was inside, because he doubted he'd ever find his way out. Of course, the dark side of its size was that, as big as it was, it would be hard to find a decent Earthbender teacher.
"Now then, we'll land a little ways off from the bridge, and make our way there. Remember our stor of being travelling performers and we should be fine." Ishimaru said as he navigated Suppo towards the ground.

Both of the other benders nodded their heads showing that both of them understood. Yasuo stretched himself out, he was probably going to have to do a little bit of walking. The large cat yawned as well, his tongue curled out of his mouth as he let out a loud squeak. He glanced around to see if any of the humans had noticed the kitten like meow.
Avani unbraided her hair, which she had braided at the air temple in her spare time. She fixed herself up so she looked presentable in front of the king and everybody else that they came across, but she didnt take out the four nation beads from the strand of her hair. She didnt want to lose who she was all at once.
"Well once we visit the King I`ll probably catch a ship to the fire nation and head home." Zhang told them.

Eventually Suppo made contact with the ground, landing with an audible 'humph' as she squatted down so everyone could get off. Ishimaru slowly slid off, wincing a little as his legs hit the ground. He hoped that they could find some doctors in the city who would be able to help him out some with it all.
"Well Zhang, I hate to say it, but I think we'll miss you when you leave. I'm sure Suppo would, what after all the alone time you two got to have." Ishimaru replied, trying on purpose to be funny to improve his skills at it. However, in his usual monotone voice, he wasn't sure if it would actually work.

Once they landed and were nice and firm on the ground Zhang helped Avani down off of Suppo, then climbed down himself. It was nice to hear that Ishimaru was starting to make jokes, perhaps that meant he was lightening up a little bit. The monks must have been right, this traveling with a couple of friendly characters must have been good for him.
"Hehe, what are you going to do Ishimaru? At some point Miss Avani here will probably be better at airbending than you. You going to stick around?"
"I doubt that Mister Zhang, water bending... maybe. But i`ll never be quiet as good as him."

"You're the Avatar Avani. It's just about destined that you'll be better than just about everyone at bending. Maybe not at one specific skill, but then, the Avatar doesn't just use one bending style, does she?" He replied. It didn't bother him at all that Avani would end up being better than him at Airbending. As he said, it was destined.
"Now then, let's make our way towards Omashu, shall we?" He replied as he started to head towards the bridge that lead to the great city. His crutches made a rather annoying tap, tap sound as he walked. From their end of the bridge he could see that there were two guards at the city gate, and both of them were alert to their presence. It was probably because it isn't the most average day when a group of people come walking up to you with a giant air bison.

Yasuo leapt off of Suppo and quickly bounced to Avani`s side. He brushed up along side of her, and Avani knew that he wanted then began to stroke his soft fur. The large cat purred softly, but kept both eyes open for the guards. Avani and Zhang stayed back, more towards Suppo so Ishimaru could take the lead. Zhang chuckled quietly, hoping that Ishimaru wouldnt let something about Avani slip. It would be funny, but bad at the same time. For the moment the two just walked side by side until they got to the gates.

"Halt." One of the guards ordered, and Ishimaru followed. He looked rather calm on the outside, but on the inside he was rather nervous about all of this.
"State your business." The guard added, staring very angrily at Zhang. Ishimaru had a feeling the guy thought Zhang a Fire Nation citizen. Of course, as Suppo came in the guy quickly paid more attention to her.
"Are any of you an airbender? We've had reports of a flying bison flying over one of our armies."
Ishimaru had to think quick, and began to spout out whatever came to his mind.
"Why yes, I'm an airbender. But I don't recall ever flying over any armies, unless armies of screaming fans count. You see, we're a traveling performer group. I serve as the resident acrobatic, though we had an incident earlier this year that injured my legs," he moved it a little bit to get his point across,"Mai there is a waterbender, and also serves as caretaker for our animals. Saido is our fire-breather, non firebender of course. We know very well the people's feelings about them."
The guard looked over the entire group as Ishimaru spoke, and then stayed silent for a moment afterwards. Eventually he nodded to the other guard, and soon they began to open the walls.
"You're free to enter. Let us know if you perform any shows while you are here. We'd like to attend."
Ishimaru felt very relieved to here that they were being let in, but his stomach dropped as the guard spoke up again as he went by.
"Wait a minute," the guard looked at Zhang, "You seem like a rather strong lad. Assist your fellow performer here. Don't you know how to treat an injured man?"
For once Ishimaru had to give out a rather sly smile.
((I had to put that last bit in as a throwback to the show.))

The other two stood quietly as the guards spoke to Ishimaru, whom sounded very convincing. Zhang smirked, boy would those guards feel foolish once they found out that Avani was the avatar later on. Yasuo sniffed the air and eyed the guards, his tail swished back and forth uncomfortably.
But when the guard stopped them again and told him to help out Ishimaru. He bowed his head and went to help him.
"Oh, I`m terribly sorry. Allow me to assist you."

"Thank you Saido." Ishimaru replied as Zhang assisted him in moving.
"So then, let's see if we can find a hotel to stay in that allows animals, and then we'll go check out the town." Ishimaru added in, giving the others some kind of a plan.
As he walked in, he was amazed at just how crowded the place was. It would make navigating a little bit hard, especially with lumbering giant bison that was Suppo. Though once people saw here, they got out of the way very quickly.

Yasuo quickly moved himself to the outside edge of Avani so nobody tried to grab her. A giant cranky looking cat helped get people to move. Occasionally he would let out a loud hiss and bare his teeth at people, but Avani quickly stopped him. Normally being overprotective was a good thing, but in this case it could blow their cover.
"Yasuo once we find a place to stay, you`re going to be hanging around Suppo to stand guard okay?" Yasuo nodded his head.
