Day One -
Mai waited for her father to show up. He had told her in the days before that he wanted to teach her a jutsu that his father taught him. She couldnt wait to see what it was, it had to be something pretty good if they had to come all of the way out there to learn it.
"Sorry that Im late!"called a voice.
The younger Uchiha looked up from the ground when she heard her fathers voice. She smiled and waved to him. He stopped when he got to her with a grin on his face. Mai looked at him curiously, he seemed all too excited to see her. She shifted her weight to her right leg and relaxed her left one.
"The technique Im about to show you has been passed down from the attempt of another jutsu by the fourth hokage."Daisuke told her, "My fathers sensei made this technique, taught it to him, and he passed the jutsu to me, so one day when I could teach my own children I could."
Mai nodded, she understood, this jutsu must have been a family tradition just like the great fire ball jutsu. She rubbed her hands together.
"Alright, so how does this technique work?"she asked. Daisuke held out one hand, thats when she noticed his sharingan. Quickly Daisuke preformed several handsigns. He held his hand out and open. She observed something, and saw some the chakra gathering. Lightning incased her fathers hand, he grabbed onto his wrist with his other hand to hold it steady. Mai stared at it. A lightning technique, perfect!
She heard the chirping like sound, it was like a thousand birds flying past them. Mai thought it was amazing, she didnt think Hiroshi had a technique like this. Now she could do something he couldnt. The lightning jumped around on his hand to the point where you could barely see his hand. She saw his eyes lock onto a target, a tree. Then he charged at, hand pulled back at hip level. When he got close, he thrust it into the tree. There was a huge jagged hole.
Her mouth hung open, she couldnt believe the damage it caused. The tree swayed and eventually fell. She thought this would be a piece of cake, but she was sadly mistaken.
Mai worked on the hand seals for about an hour, not remembering that her sharingan eye might have been able to copy them. Her father had seated himself against a large rock and watched his daughter take her dear sweet time working on the technique. He let out an extremely bored sigh, she had been making the same hand sign for the past few minutes. Daisuke rubbed his head.
The girl stood up did the hand seals and focused her chakra to her hand. The first couple of attempts resulted in nothing. Mai growled, why wasnt this as easy as the other jutsu she knew. THen it hit her, this was a lot like Hiroshi`s lightning bolt jutsu, which was generally easy to learn. She focused her chakra to her hand as if she was forming the little lightning bolt again, but this time she tried shaping it into a ball. Daisuke opened one eye and watched her, it seemed as if she was making some progress.
